Well, if anyone would know about “obstruction”, it’s Donnie’s Oval Trailer so-called brain trust…

That and “Without Precedent And Crazy”…

90% of State Governments would rather fight than enable this worthless slimeball. Is the US Govm’t so awash in excess cash that we can afford to pay real money in salaries for this nonsense?

Obstruction of voter suppression isn’t a crime, dude.

So if I understand correctly:

  • States refuse to break the law by giving Social Security numbers to Trump = “Obstruction!”

  • States refuse to expand life-saving Medicaid under Obama = “Freedumb!”

Is it just me, or do Republicans only trot out “States Rights” when there’s a “D” in the White House?

We will hand over our voter info just as soon as Trump produces his promised tax returns. I won’t be holding my breath while I wait.

What an asshole.

Just because you rudely asked doesn’t mean they have to give you dick.

Slightly off topic: I saw reports today the Trump DOJ asked a number of states for voting information. This request was, I read, on the same day as the Kobach letter. It’s not getting a lot of press, but the Trump DOJ request sounds pretty scary. TPM’s intrepid reporters need to find out what is happening. Here’s a link to a HuffPost story:

KKKris - perhaps if you could show the states your statutory authority or case law precedent for your demands…

That, or when Bobby E. Lee is getting escorted into the Appomattox Courthouse…

It’s not “obstruction,” you idiot, it’s called “resistance.” Get used to it.

Serious, this grab for people’s information is exactly what the right has had their hair on fire for years claiming the left would do it to us.

I haven’t heard shit from the right on this now.

“At present, only 14 states and the District of Columbia have refused the Commission’s request for publicly available voter information.”

If it’s publicly available information why the need to request it?

Yeah, yeah… now Mr. Kobach, take your voting fraud commission and put it where the sun doesn’t shine.

The Commission is a poorly planned joke, and Kobach is an incompetent, racist bumbler. Bravo to all of the states that have told him to pound sand.

An administration that refuses to discuss or investigate the direct attack of our voting process by Russia (with significant confirmation by our intelligence community) makes claims of “obstruction” when it is trying to investigate an OUTRIGHT LIE by the president of the United States that the election had 3-5 million illegal voters?

Screw these people for ignoring a dire threat to our country and pursuing an investigation of a totally LIE, a course of action with results very likely to include further voter suppression.

Treasonous, cowardly bastards.
