Discussion: Watchdogs Sue Trump Admin For Visitor Logs At WH, Trump Tower, Mar-A-Lago

I think it’s quaint that watchdog groups think that this admin is abiding by rules such as mandatory keeping of visitor logs.

Yeah, really. Donnie can’t force NDAs on his people, and he doesn’t want to be held to responsibility for anything, so he just ignores that which he doesn’t like.

On the other hand, the only way to combat this is to publicize it and hope that pressure builds, so from that perspective, it is good that the watchdogs are watching and barking.

Thanks! I needed that!

“Openness and government accountability”, has a nice ring to it. I wish them luck with an administration which does not include two such long words in its lexicon.

He’d love to release them, but he files them as an exhibit to his tax returns, and, well, you know …

What good would this do? Most Russian hookers and spies use an alias…

The lawsuit seeks “injunctive relief ordering DHS to process and release to plaintiffs immediately the requested records” of visitors to the White House and President Donald Trump’s residences.

So I guess this means Mar-a-Lago is included. If so, how do they differentiate between regular members and those who actually met with Trump? Are detailed records kept?

I mean, when he blurts out secret information while at dinner with the Japanese PM in full hearing of countless people in a public restaurant, what do you do with that?

Why on earth is anybody assuming this White House (and its outposts) is bothering to keep records?

For that matter, has anybody checked whether the Trump administration is bothering with “little” things like the Presidential Records Act?

Rose Mary Woods only cost us 18-1/2 minutes of history. With Trump, we’re likely to “lose” proof of goings-on over a four year period (or – shudder! – eight years).

Well it sure worked with his Tax returns

Yeah, I know. Except it may still work with the returns at some point. There was a rising tide (before the Russia distractions) of people wanting to see them. Drip, drip, drip may mean a return to some of this stuff when things start closing in on Drumpfie.

Until someone comes up with a better idea, in the meantime, it’s this or nothing. Unfortunately.

This is good news, and other upcoming good news will be marches this weekend for his tax returns.

Anything that keeps focus on his tax returns and overall lack of transparency is a good thing. Keeping these matters at the forefront of the media’s attention is the key. Unbelievably frustrating, though, how much effort it takes to keep this stuff in the news.

…If only we had our own 24/7 propaganda channel.
That’s the problem with us they go low we go high and we get a kick in the crotch and a stolen Supreme court seat.
I am so over being “nice” about it.
They are crass anti democratic louses and need dealt with as such . We try to be nice and they laugh at us. We need to give them something to really make them grab their pearls and faint
