That probably won’t happen because it’ll just be edited out. The possibility remains, however, that elements of his “performance” will make for wonderful attack ads. Whether it could be used legally is another story.
Can only hope that nobody watches this crap - promo and show. What is SNL thinking!!! Please boycott!

Fair use is a wonderful part of copyright and use of the material for a political ad would doubtless pass muster as fair use.

I usually watch SNL but I will not record or watch this episode. Though I think that a candidate does such a thing at their own peril and that the other candidates are now owed the same amount of air time in the same markets, my objection is that Trump is a racist, sexist pig who should not be given a free platform to pretend he isn’t a racist, sexist pig.

No way would I watch this. Not only has SNL really lost it by having Trump as host, all of their episodes thus far this year have been dull, not funny and way too much a waste of time. Giving Trump an hour and a half of free campaign time is an all time low. BOYCOTT SNL!!!
Just clicked to say i won’t watch and you shouldn’t either. In fact if you want to send a message, delete SNL from your DVR schedule for a while.

I truly hope the news media gives the protests, that are sure to be going on outside of 30 Rock, the attention they deserve. I haven’t looked at the SNL ratings lately, but they must be desperate to do this. I know they say they do this for every presidential candidate, but since their network severed ties with Trump over the rapist comments, I’m surprised how weak willed they are in allowing this. I expect more from Lorne Michaels. Bad job.

Not sure how it can be edited out on live TV. About all they can do is cut to a commercial. Unless of course it’s not Saturday Night “Live” anymore, which maybe it isn’t.
I haven’t watched SNL is quite a while (past my bed time). If this is what they’re up to then I see no reason to stay up to watch.

A 10 second or so delay should be enough time to cut anything off.

They actually do 2 tapings, a dress rehearsal and the live broadcast, both taped in front of a live audience. That way they can insert the dress rehearsal into the “live” broadcast should anything go drastically wrong.
And we hope it does.
