I hope the President was properly uplifting for as Gregg Easterbrook claimed in the NYT:

The President knocked it out of the park. Superb commencement speech. Hit all the right points and had his usual good humor. It was great to watch.
Though he didn’t name Trump, Obama’s target was apparent.“In
politics and in life, ignorance is not a virtue,” he told the more than
12,000 graduates in New Brunswick, New Jersey. “It’s not cool to not
know what you’re talking about. That’s not keeping it real or telling it
like it is. That’s not challenging political correctness. That’s just

Ignorance is not a virtue… that was taught to me early…and often. And it’s something that colored my teaching of medical student for 45+ years.
It has been painfully obvious that Trump is nothing more than bluster and bullshit yet he has managed to bamboozle a significant number of people. They embrace ignorance as a virtue and not a bug. And that is disturbing. Trump thought preparation for the 1st debate was for other people, not him. he may very well think the same way about being POTUS. Just wing it. And it’s goddam stupid. Now, I don’t care if he wants to risk his life and fortune, I do care if he is given the ability to affect my life and income. About Trump I would say as they say in NYC …“Get da fuck outta here”
