I’m gonna miss him terribly – after Jan 20 we won’t see him doing this again. I know I won’t tune in to watch pres pressers the next four years after the inauguration.
Donald Trump owes his victory in the Electoral College to three states he won by the smallest number of votes: Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Michigan. So it’s fair to say that the 2016 presidential election was decided by about 100,000 votes out of than 120 million ballots cast. According to the latest tallies, Trump won Pennsylvania by 1.1 percentage points (68,236 votes), Wisconsin by 0.9 points (27,257 votes), Michigan by 0.2 points (11,837 votes). If Clinton had won all three states, she would have won the Electoral College 278 to 260. She fell short in all three, of course, and that’s why we are now getting accustomed to the reality of President-elect Donald J. Trump.
Heartbreak anyone?
My understanding is a sitting President can offer a sort of blanket pardon for a person that covers future possible verdicts. I don’t believe there needs to be an actual guilty verdict, etc., prior to it happening. I’m no expert here, so others may want to chime in if they know. Thanks.
Nope
I feel for those who voted Democratic, but those who voted 3p or chose to stay on the sidelines: we are all connected
Obama’s doing his damndest to be diplomatic in his describing what the election did, what those voters had in mind. Soak it in, folks because we will not hear anything close to this coming from Trump or his people.
And the media is as usual doing a shitty job askinq questions, just trying to get him to say something like Trump is a idiot, so they can run stories about it.
I mean…some of these questions the President already answered in many of his rally speeches for Clinton. WTF is he supposed to say now? “Maybe you should ask me some questions about Hillary’s emails?”
She fell short in all three, of course, and that’s why we are now getting accustomed to the reality of President-elect Donald J. Trump.
Heartbreak anyone?
Ya shoulda woulda coulda
Lazy ass Democrats elected Trump
That crazy man and his band of lunatics should have lost by 40 points but the people there didn’t have enough smarts too turn on their bullshit filter and filter out all the false equivalence dished up by the MSM
Explain to me again how Trump and the Republicans will make your life better?
Some day, if we survive that long, someone will compare Obama’s worst press conference to Trump’s very best press conference…
…and it will make no difference whatsoever. But for those who have been paying attention it will be heartbreaking.
FTW
That’s easy. He’ll get rid of the Mexicans, make the blacks, Jews, and other minorities second class citizens. That will then make it easier for white people to get jobs. He’s basically promising to remove minority competition, and return our society to one in which white people are the again the standard of everything.
I love Mara Liason
Anchor Baby is clearly an ephlet (sp), but here i an
Listening to her use the term twice when discussing immigration
Be fair – it isn’t the media’s insistence on “false equivalence” that caused/helped people to jettison their bullshit filter: seeing through the BS didn’t take anything more than simply listening to what he and supporters were saying, checking a few facts, and thinking in a manner shaped by just some elementary logic and basic common sense. Once you see it, what the press does or doesn’t point out isn’t going to control. Yes, the press is important and facts do need to be accessible … but taking those very basic steps — listening, checking and thinking – is an obligation of citizenship in a democracy and I believe well within the capability of most people. Mental laziness and lack of concern for anyone other than me, myself and I are the real culprits here, and I don’t think that can or should be based on the media … and, to cover all the ground, a big part of the blame can also be put on the shoulders of those who did see through him but did n’t bestir themselves to communicate their concerns in a respectful, convincing way to those who did not. (I count myself as part of that group, sadly.) Democracy is not a spectator sport - for anyone.
Therein is the problem . No common sense or critical thinking skills. You talk like there are smart people in this country or that TeeVee and social media doesn’t make a difference.
Faux derangement syndrome is real .
Just listen to people and you hear Faux News talking points regurgitated
You could turn on Fox at any juncture during the election and no more than 10 minutes would expire before there was an anti-Hillary story or comment .
We have arrived at Idiocracy with a reality show contestant who doesn’t have a fucking clue elected by people who don’t have a fucking clue
