If his handlers want to get any votes, they should stop the rallies, lock him up, take away his cell phones, and do no debates. You just KNOW he’s going to bring up the 2nd Amendment kerfuffle, lambaste the press for allegedly blowing it out of proportion, beat it like a dead horse for several unrelenting minutes.

But the rallies, Trump LOVES them. The people there love HIM. It’s a drug infusion for his ego.
I have to admit, I’m looking for unintended comedy and free entertainment here. Even Dubya and Romney would have had something semi-rational to say, like: “We can all agree that early childhood care is important, but we can’t solve the problem by throwing money at it. Clinton is a typical tax and spend liberal democrat.”
Whereas Trump will say:
“Folks, its bad. America is a third world country. Kids in Japan and Finland are beating us at everything. America is failing, we are being humiliated.”
Trumpian Aside… “Except for Asian kids. They win all the science fairs. I love Asians. And even though they are inscrutable, I have many Asian friends. They have a wonderful cuisine. Except it’s very high in calories, but it’s the best food.”
“But I promise you I will eliminate the department of education and end tenure. And I will fire every teacher who doesn’t make the grade. And I have a plan, which I will expand upon in the next few weeks…”
And this is pretty much, based on previous patterns what Trump would say.
