the RNC is stuck with Rience, he has pictures of someone. That’s the only logical reason he still has a job.
You were smart not to watch it. I just wasted over 8 minutes of my life and learned nothing. They both made themselves look like asses. This is why most people have given up on government and politics.
Yes, President Obama’s policies are on the ballot. People don’t like them; I don’t like them. Instead of a middle-of-the-road, moderate-Republican-posing-as-a-Democrat, why don’t we elect a progressive next time?
Every GOP ad I’ve seen here in AZ has them talking about how the Democratic candidate rubber stamps Obama’s agenda and how they (GOP candidate) will “stand up to Obama”. That’s pretty much all they are running on - standing up to Obama.
You nailed it, Gindelwald. GOP does everything in its power to make sure government is dysfunctional. Then, they whine and complain about how government is dysfunctional – all the while pointing to the Democrats. But the ONLY way they are successful in their malfeasance is via a complicit, negligent, incompetent media. (exhibit A: Candy Crowley)
Oh bullshit. I’m so sick of people tryong to define Obama based on their own fucked up psyche. It reminds me of of right wingers who insist he is Muslim and from Kenya and doesn’t truly understand American and its exeptionalism because he’s not really “one of us”. They insist he’s an ultra liberal who hates America and is only looking to destroy it as payback for slavery. And then there is you…
Clowns to the left of me, jokers to my right…
“Debate Between Party Chairs Spirals Into Childish Chaos”
In other news, dog bites man, sky found to be blue, and sun expected to rise in the east.
What is so hard about the Chair (Crowley) or the Director (faceless/nameless) having a switch that cuts the mic so nobody can interrupt? Why is political tv so awful?
Is it not relevant to say that the last thing the GOP did before they left on extended vacation was to vote to sue the President.
Yes that is extreme.
What is tragic is that everyone seems to have amnesia. Nothing the President has done has been extreme in any sense of the word. The GOP on the other hand have gone completely insane.
Rancid Prepuce such a charmer, I do have one positive thing to say for him he accurately depicts the leadership of the Republican party right down to each lying breath.
The best way to handle this is to sit back, let the opponent finish their spiel and then say “So, are you finished being a five year old throwing a temper tantrum or shall we adjourn this whine fest for the time being so you can go into the corner and cry until you get your way?”
Good example of Josh’s “Bitch Slap” theory of politics at work.
well loudest and stooopudiest.
And the reason they are stuck with this guy is because the last one to have this job was forced out because OMG he is a black man and the racist right wing GOP couldn’t have that.
Exactly. We had our vote on the executive branch 2 years ago. We overwhelmingly re-elected Obama. This one is strictly the legislative branch. The ones with approval ratings 4 times lower than Obama’s.
Or nice things.
Candy Crowley’s version of the Jerry Springer show.
The only thing missing was the physical attack.
Couldn’t she just have said, “Yes, we support the president’s policies of a minimum wage, affordable health care and bringing down the deficit. How come you don’t?”
Hey Dems, here’s a little secret: Running away from bullies just encourages them.
Name who you consider a true progressive and show me what their track record has been in running, say a state and what would lead you to think they would be beloved by everyone, The current environment makes it almost impossible for anyone to have positive approval ratings for more than a brief time. The last 2 presidents didn’t. Very few leaders anywhere in the world do, unless they control the press very tightly (eg. Putin).
Unfortunately Wasserman-Schultz plays into that strategy neatly by 1) participating in a “debate” like this in the first place, and 2) giving the same kind of evasive, prepackaged talking points answers that he does. So for someone whose only exposure to politics is this show, it look like they are the same - they both lie compulsively and are physiologically incapable of a straight answer.
