Discussion: WATCH: Christie Gets Defensive About His Support For Trump On Jimmy Fallon

Really, with all of his baggage, I thought the majority thinks he’s toast! He’s proven he can’t govern and he has no tolerance at all. Just like NJ has rejected Christie, most of America are rejecting Trump. So in that vain, they truly belong “together forever”.

Same reason NBC collectively (led by David Gregory) fawned over John McCain after he lost to Obama (and Gullianni, Trump and Palin appeared on the SNL Anniversary Special) whereas they made no such overtures to invite Kerry or Gore to entertainment or news programs after they lost.

Truly. Has there ever been a less funny guy hosting The Tonight Show? The next time Fallon makes me laugh will be the first time.

Being associated with Trump is becoming as toxic as being associated with Sarah Palin. When the wheels come off the band wagon, they come off fast.

Trump’s brand is taking a tremendous hit. I don’t think this is playing out like he had hoped.

No. Hell no. It was not: The cutout was procured [obtained] in advance of the show, but produced [presented; disclosed; offered in evidence*] onstage in Christie’s presence.

. *Or if you prefer Oxford to top of head, there’s entry number 3:

His political positions are defensive by default.
They are also mainly indefensible.

Chris Christie’s act was steamrolled by Trump and his peevish obnoxiousness lost out to a true vulgarian just as the Cruz overly conservative/radically religious act was more than the other actors were ready to play.

The Republican choices are of one extremist or the other. Governing and policy are an afterthought.

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie ® maintained that he was not and has
never been held hostage by the Donald Trump campaign during a Friday
appearance on the “Tonight Show.”

Hhahahahahahahahaha
Gag
Christie should be shown a video of his shaming by Trump. How he had to stand behind the front runner and squirm. And then Trump turned to him and said (it was supposed to be off mike) “Get on the plane and go home!” And he said it in the tone I use when correcting my dog.

He was great on SNL. He doesn’t have it as a talk show host, but does kill at times with SNL style bits on the show. Peter Principle.

Yup! Ol’ Gov. Crisco was schooled well by The Donald:

Hey, Chris, I have a hard time believing anyone would ask you to be a men’s room attendant at a BP station in Batshit, Mississippi,

Such a loyal, jolly sidekick for the Donald. I keep waiting for him to say, “What you want me to say about Clinton bitch lady, kimosabe?”

After the election is over and Christie is out of office, he’ll make a reasonably capable ambulance chaser.

Man O’ Man! I can only imagine the wheezing and huffing as that lard ass tried to catch one! And please think of the roads…He’ll leave potholes! :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
