Dear Mr. President,
Everyone tunes in to see the next trainwreck BaghdadBobSpicer gets into.
They’re laughing at him, and you, not with you.
Don’t confuse ratings with doing your job.
Luvs,
America
And watching Spicer is a game: predict which ridiculous statements will be worked into the mock skit of him delivered by Melissa McCarthy the next time she is on SNL.
Dear Donald,
You would get higher ratings. Please give us weekly press conferences.
“That guy gets great ratings. Everyone tunes in, and besides, Baghdad Bob never returned my calls."
It’s not the ratings that count. SFB; it’s the demographic he appeals to. Spicer is pulling the same audience that religiously followed Jon Stewart on “The Daily Show”. Essentially, Spicer is a parody of a presidential spokesman.
SpiceBoy is PeePee’s fat(ter) bridesmaid. He thinks Sean makes him look smarter because SpiceBoy is really that dumb. But he’s wrong, of course, it just makes him look even more stupid for having the court jester as his daily spokesman.
But I really don’t give a shit either way - did anyone else slog thru the entire AP interview Josh posted? Now that was stunning…
As dumb as a shoe.
The Worst: I’m convinced that Trump believes his own lies.
Good rating only matter to sponsors, so Trumpy who is making money off of your court jester?
I’m in awe of your courage and persistence. About a third through it, I couldn’t take any more.
Like his own ratings — historically low
The Beverly Hillbillies was the number 1 show on TV for two seasons and in the top 20 for eight. Just saying.
I actually believe this.
Spicer is not supposed to function as a press secretary because this is not a real presidency. When your job is to distract the media, and you say outrageous things, and distract the media with BS discussions about crowd size and Holocaust centers then you shouldn’t get fired from that job.
So this means that KAC was canceled for bad ratings? Or is there a double standard here?
President* 45 seriously needs to see a neurologist. Seriously.
He needs to see a remedial adult education instructor.
At least Trump is honest–it’s a TV show presidency. All about ratings.
After reading that interview, I find it even more incredulous that this man was (s)elected President. The level of meaningless talk that passes for responses to Julie Pace’s questions was just so bizarre. Every response he offered was a form of misdirection that went wildly in an opposite direction…sometimes into a total non sequitur.
The entire interview is a lesson in how not to answer any question directly or with any thoughtfulness attached. All that matters to him is pumping himself up beyond belief. Its fucking embarrassing that this man is in a position to represent our country. He’s mentally ill and should be removed from office. The longer they wait to do so, the more damage he’ll do, and the more danger we’ll all be in. Those that continue to want to normalize his behavior in relation to all other US Presidents before him, are doing this country a serious disservice. They are playing with fire. Any media source that finds his behavior or decision-making process on par with other Presidents needs to have their head examined.
My favorite parts of the entire interview were the repeated parenthetical inserts referencing (unintelligible). I would have added, (unintelligent).
Insufferably stupid president, says something insufferably stupid about his insufferably stupid press secretary.
You have to admire the consistency
I don’t think Trump can tell the truth from a lie.
