If nothing else, this illustrates Con-man Donnie’s incredible business acumen. It’s only lost 96.5% of its original value.

to drop $12,000 on a Denver Broncos football helmet and jersey signed by Tim Tebow

This is probably the reason why James Dobson got the idea that Trump had accepted Jesus.

Trump lied, people died…

so he paid $12,000 for something now worth $400…now thats what I call a financial superstar … I would invest all my money with drumpf …if had a desperate need to go broke

This is how Trump’s web of companies works – they are basically little credit cards that he uses at his whim and when the money runs out, that company declares bankruptcy, stiffs the people he owes and he moves on – and lashes out anytime anyone points out the obvious: he’s not rich. He’s a con artist. NY’s wealthy class have known this for years, but are loathe to point it out because of their own houses of cards.

Tebow?.. Of all the WORST investments… Why the hell Tebow?

Why?

Makes him look good in front of some big spenders, sure. But a Tim Tebow helmet? Am I supposed to believe that Donald Trump has an emotional attachment to a quarterback the religious right loves?

I am? Alright.

For someone who’s been planning to run for president for four years, he’s done surprisingly little prep work.

Well, who liked Tim Tebow? And who does Trump have zero in common with, but would need to make nice with if he wanted their support in an upcoming, say, presidential bid?

That’s my guess.

I’m sure the helmets were resold and funneled into one of his other questionable business enterprises. Maybe he sold them off at Trump Institute or Trump University events for a profit?

I think he just wanted to be associated with a famous person…and make a quick profit. Trump has to always feel like he’s important and “knows” important people.

How many times have we heard him say, “I know him. He’s a great guy.”? He knows people who never wanted to be associated with him.

That was my first thought. The Komen foundation did a tailspin because of their crass political activity, and donations to Planned Parenthood went up up up. I don’t know about how it’s faring nationally, but the local charity “Race for the Cure” and other fundraisers for Komen have never fully recovered from that debacle. So, if Trump’s response was to donate to Komen instead of Planned Parenthood over all that noise, it shows once again that he doesn’t give a whit about doing anything charitable, only in finding ways to use other people’s money to score points with those he wants to do him favors in the future.

Wait a second. Tim Tebow wore a helmet?

As the Washington Post noted, the astute businessman bought the signed items at the height of Tebow mania. Comparable items now sell for $415 online.

Well now, Trump is rube and a con! Go figure.

Using Tim Tebow? One loser connecting with another.

Tebow was at best a mediocre backup QB; no wonder he prayed after a decent play — only heavenly intervention could explain any success he achieved with his minimal talent.

Trump and pro football are a bad combination — check out the USFL.

Von Clownstick claims to be rich. Okay, why doesn’t he use his OWN fucking money for a change?

He has to grift it first, then he will.

Of course not.

And if you ask Donald, he’ll give any reply except the truth — yep, at least until someone catches me.
