According to Chosunilbo, the English version of the Korean news, Kim Jong un wants sanctions lifted, withdraw from THADD (Terminal high-altitude Area Defense battery), and stop mentioning human rights abuses in North Korea. Now, who is going along with that? And with South Korea, Trump is using the military bases as a bargaining chip to negotiate for trade deficits. The SK government says that’s a non starter. Didn’t HRC tell the world that Trump was dangerous? This is the time to pay attention to what this grifter is up to, and the nonsense he is pushing.

I am still puzzled how knowledgeable commentators on foreign policy don’t get that Trump’s policy towards NK amounts to appeasement and surrender to Kim. He keeps his nukes and his totalitarian state apparatus and gets US troops off the peninsula, trade/diplomatic openings and a cessation of hostilities with the south. It’s exactly what Putin would want.
