Yeah, but has Holder ever authored a bill to rename a post office? I didn’t think so. 'Nuff said.
It’s almost comical as it is obvious how often they trot out Pelosi or a minority in order to scare their base. Sure, they used to throw in a weak jab at Harry Reid and occasionally they’ll go after Schumer. But the two scariest of villians are almost always women, minorities, or both. And all too often it works because our side is all too eager to let them get away with it. What’s scarier, the lady who helped save the American auto industry, or the guy who wants to turn Medicare into a coupon program?
Spot on, sister. Now the left is using Holders actions as a way to vilify everyone else. The crap never ends but the Holders and Obama’s of the world keep right on moving forward, without fan fair, rallies or foaming at the mouth.
Revenge is a dish best eaten after you win. Or cold. Cold is good too.
O god that’s the truth.
Please tell us the difference Governor Scott Walker between Eric Holder and his group making sure you follow the law in holding elections, or the Koch Brothers who back you and Republicans by trying to prevent Democracy and allowing the people of Wisconsin to vote. This is all a power play by Republicans to keep power by lying, cheating and stealing elections. And what they can’t lie, cheat or steal, they change the laws in order for them to do so. Vote all the Republicans out of office.
O/T
Rachel Ray Nutrish just pulled their ads from Laura Ingrams show after Hogg called for a boycott of her advertisers
Here they are
And HAHAHA she apologizes
Good. I love that.
I’ve put his group in my political giving rotation. His group is doing some of the most important work to protect our democracy and the vote.
“All of em, Katie.”
Kamela Harris is a freshman Senator, but the right wing has already targeted her as the next big, leftist “night monster”.
SMH
In the meantime, Cory Booker can sneak up and become president while they are foaming at the mouth about her.
Aaaaannnd so has the far left. She’s a corporatist, neoliberal, something something whore.
Two points on the timing and mechanics of all this:
-
even an election in Nov would not fill these seats until January. That is NINE months from now.
-
Walker signed 41 bills yesterday, with a partial veto of one of them. Had he called the special elections in a timely manner in January, those representatives would have been ‘in on’ the debate and voting on those 41 bills. Had he called the elections in a less timely manner, but so they coincided with next week’s judicial elections, those representatives would still have been in place in time to participate in the “veto review session” that now WILL take place in May. (Noting also that a “veto review session” is specifically mentioned in the statutes as a reason that special elections MUST be called, even after the end of the regular legislative session.)
Desperate people say (and do) desperate things.
Reading through Allegra’s piece, i could not help but picture Scott Walker as a bull trying to find the exit in a very small China shop. He can’t move without breaking some founding principle of this nation’s values.
Walker has twisted things around in WISCONSIN (!) long enough. He needs to start packing his bags now so he won’t have to pick everything up off the street in front of the Governor’s Mansion.
Let’s acknowledge this much: IT WASN’T A FAIR FIGHT.
In this corner, Eric Holder, former U.S. Attorney General who “Advises clients on complex investigations and litigation matters, including those that are international in scope and involve significant regulatory enforcement issues…”
Education: Columbia College, B.A., 1973; Columbia Law School, J.D., 1976.
In this corner, Scott Walker. Graduate, Delavan (Wis.) High School. Drop-Out, Marquette University (earned “C” average in three years at Marquette, but barely attained “sophomore” status). Disciplined for cheating in campus election.
Attained State-wide notice in Wisconsin during Recall/Special Election of previous Milwaukee County Executive (over pension controversy). Since then, has opposed all Recall and Special elections because democracy.
It’s always a pleasure to see old Rubber Mask despair as his half-baked plans crumble
This one killed me
Holder’s group wants to win elections for governor with the hopes that they can use redistricting to permanently change the makeup of the U.S. House of Representatives and put Nancy Pelosi back in charge as speaker.
Playin’ like a Republican would Motherfucker
