He’s a dairy and goat farmer. I assume he’s also some kind of landlord, though the article doesn’t say so. And its one thing when one woman calls you out and accuses you of harassment, but man…you’re in a whole new ballgame when three women have come forth with the same sexual assault and harassment allegations. Time to step down and spend more time with your family buddy, at least before you take that long needed vacation in the slammer.

Well, I’ve actually read the charging documents and it’s not as clear cut a case as this article makes it out to be. I don’t know if the state can get a conviction of it goes to trial. However, there are additional, more troubling charges that will surface in the next few days/weeks.

Yeah, but tweeting dicpics from your own account eliminates all mystery about hoodunit, plus it’s actually worse for some things not be get criminally charged because then the voters feel more inclined to take on punishment themselves.
There isn’t a lot of detail here about the investigation. These sorts of charges are very difficult to sustain, typically, because those charged, assuming they’re guilty (on which I’m not saying one way or the other), tend to be alert and self-protective enough to pick out victims who are unlikely to complain, or be believed by police, or hang in thru long legal tussles, or aren’t vulnerable to being exploited thereafter by different means to the same end (eg do these vulnerable women still have this guy as their landlord? If so, they still have pay him rent,)
The one statement in the TPM story doesn’t seem definitive. If that’s the best the police have beyond the testimony of the women making the claims about being victimized, an experienced criminal defense attorney is just not going to find the prosecution case daunting.
Not the best example, I’m afraid. The Weiner Circus ran amok for about 2 weeks (plus maybe a day or three) before he actually was convinced to get the fuck out of Dodge.
Although, if the Honorable State Sen. Norman H. McAllister from Vermont wants to publicly thrash this out in the national media spotlight for a few weeks, I’m perfectly game. Would be nice to have all that in prime time video and on the record for future reference whenever “family values” discussions arise.
