Yeah…how is that possible, since it appears that Pence never has had any conversations with anyone else in the White House and knows nothing about anything going on?
But the real tell is in the next sentence:

Personally, I don’t buy any of his denials (which are way too often way too blanket). The contacts with the Russians was far to wide spread through the campaign, both in terms of participants and frequency. But then I don’t think anyone “in the know” in the GOP was unaware of them. And “in the know” includes every person that was considered for the VP slot.

To be fair, Pence was never part of the “family”. He was a necessary evil – a politician who would deliver the fundies. I doubt he was entrusted with any of the “good stuff”.
