I know Iām going against the tide here, but I donāt get what the problem is. He wrote an op-ed in support of Bernie, and he was clearly identified as a Bernie supporter. I donāt think there was anything in his op-ed that should have disqualified him from asking a question at the town hall.
I think the premise of his question was right - a lot of people do think sheās dishonest. Her answer was spot on - a lot of crap has been ginned up against her. Weāve all seen numerous stories dedicated to pointing that out. His question was a bit acid-tongued, but so what? She got a lot worse than that from the jerkwads in howdy doody land for 11 hours straight.

I think the problem is when he was introduced as leaning Sanders rather than supporting Sanders. Leaning Sanders would mean hasnāt made up mind yet.

I agree. There seem to be a lot of people here who want to bash Bernie and his supporters.
If you read his op-ed, he claims to have become disenchanted with politics because:
āI grew up seeing a presidential impeachment, a failed war, the Great Recession, and multiple natural disasters. I hated politics: the corruption, the money, the debacle.ā
Hmmmā¦ if he is 22 now, he would have been born in 1993 ā and Bill Clinton was impeached in 1998. This guy would have been around 5 years old. How many 5 years olds, would pay attention to, care or understand what impeachment is unless his parents were vocal Clinton haters? Is that where this guy developed his animosity and views about Hillary Clintonās honesty?
So heās found true love with Sanders ā good ā but I am kind of disgusted that Iād given him the benefit of the doubt when I first saw the exchange this morning. The good news is that he didnāt rattle Hillary at all. She answered him respectfully and I think she comes off very favorably. Heās the one who now, having been exposed, looks like the dishonest one.

Talking with a couple friends over beer about our election candidates I observed that either Democratic candidate will face Congressional intransigence of the sort Obama has had to weather. My reaction was Bernie is too damn liberal, even though I personally agree with a good number of his positions and rhetoric, while Hillary had a trust gap and inspires Republicans to utter irrationality.
Thinking about it more, most of my Hillary trust thoughts have been from marinating in 20+ years of a literally constant drumbeat from Republicans. I canāt think of a single instance thatās been substantiated. Unfortunately, I think young voters these days have only heard one constant message, that Hillary is a lying duplicitous schemer, but just has never been caught. I can think of no other American who has sustained such an ongoing character assassination campaign and she only seems to grow stronger from it, which speaks loads to me about her intelligence and ability.
