Discussion: Video: Cops Allegedly Tell Handcuffed Man 'Don't You F*cking Dare' Call Jesus

Discussion for article #232002

“What’d you say?” the officer said. “Jesus? You’re calling Jesus? You fucker! Don’t you dare. Don’t you fucking dare!”

How incredibly Christian of the officer. I think I remember somewhere in the New Testament where Jesus gets really specific about who is and is not allowed to pray to him…I think it’s somewhere near the back:

And lo, for those who call unto me, and are undeserving, shall be beaten repeatedly about the head and shoulders

“Initial findings in the investigation reportedly showed the officers’ actions were warranted.”

This could be one of the very best uses of smart phones ever. Who watches the watchers? WE DO!

Dear TPM: From now on, please be sure to tell us the race of the person being abused by police. There really is no argument whatsoever that it’s somehow “not relevant.”

“they had to kick to get his arms free because he was going for his gun, which was in his waistband.”

Too bad the video shows him being kicked in the legs, not the arms, and punched in the back of the head as well…all while lying on his belly in handcuffs with his arms behind his back. Moreover, what the fuck would his gun be doing in his waistband AFTER he had been handcuffed and how the fuck would he reach for it while handcuffed? The police “investigation” is doing nothing more than fabricating whatever it thinks necessary to exonerate these pig-thugs.

Note: As a general rule of thumb, I would counsel anyone in possession of such videos to wait several days to a couple of weeks before making them public so that the pigs can hang themselves first. Let there be self-lynchings aplenty…

Warning: The video below is graphic and disturbing.

Actually, since there is no video in the article, it is neither.

I believe the the answer you’re looking for is: Jesusland

The officer was merely enforcing the baby Jeebus’ will by not allowing the handcuffed gentleman to blaspheme.

Sure what it looks like.

What a sick and twisted asshole.

Hold on just one gosh darned minute … if, as the cops claim, he was going for his gun, which was in his waist-band, can someone explain why they didn’t bother to relieve him of the weapon prior to the hand-cuffing, or directly afterwards, or sometime before the 9 minute beating? And the official police statement claims that all things are hunky-dory …" nothing to see here folks, move along … and don’t you dare take the name of the Lord in vain, you fucking, shit-eating, lower-than low vermin of the earth." I do so love it when the cops reveal their tender, compassionate and oh so “Christian” sides.
Granted, they’re not all like that, but I’m beginning to believe it may be a majority.

Seriously…it’s like he took personal offense to the idea that a suspect he’d arrested for an alleged crime…someone innocent until proven guilty…would have the unmitigated gall to claim he’s a fellow Christian. It so offended him that he became enraged at the thought and decided it was necessary to beat the person with his Jesus Fu in order to enact some Jesus Justice.

First they kicked his ass, then they kicked his ass for calling Jesus, then they kicked his ass just because. After all that ass-kicking, they decided to search him and found the gun.

Because then they could shoot him in the chest and claim he committed suicide by grabbing his gun while handcuffed and somehow magically reaching around his body, still in his handcuffs, to shoot himself in the front of the chest.

(Yes, that’s a reference to exactly what happened in another incident)

Yep, pretty much. It’s their Jesus, not everyone’s. And they are the arbiters of who’s a “real” Christian or not.

The woman recording the video notes that at one point the officers were beating, kicking and pistol whipping the suspect while he was handcuffed.

The high-fives, the ‘good jobs’ and the adrenaline fueled beating and humiliation of this man, who is already handcuffed, on the ground and in custody, shows a total lack of control of the police.

If what’s going on in this country doesn’t disturb you, you’re not paying attention.

Dave Agema is their copilot.

Appears that this whole situation should bear the statement:

‘These actions are entirely endorsed by Dave Agema’

Even when you videotape them in complete contradiction of their ethical duties, they don’t care. They just make up shit anyways even if it’s a lie. Why, you ask? Because after the last few months if they didn’t already think they were untouchable, after Michael Brown and especially Eric Garner, now they do.

I have friends in law enforcement. My former boss is a retired police officer. I have full respect for ethical police officers that take their duties seriously and known what their job is. But I have to honestly say I’ve never seen a profession that as stubbornly and steadfastly REFUSES to address their toxic ethical rot as much as law enforcement does…and I work in law!!

For some reason left out of this article:
"According to Hiller, task force officers were tracking a vehicle that had been carjacked two hours earlier. In that incident, police say the suspect pointed a gun at a mother and her two children and ordered them out of the vehicle, threatening to shoot.

The officers followed the vehicle to the area of McNichols and Evergreen, where it pulled into a driveway. The officers attempted an arrest but the subject fled on foot a quarter mile before being tackled."

Yes, this guy just CARJACKED, put his GUN to a mother and her kids and threatened to SHOOT them, ordered them out of the car, then took off in the car. The police followed him to where he pulled into a driveway, then he resisted arrest and fled. He was then tackled, KNOWN to be ARMED, and he resisted so they got physical since he was armed. So?

Yes, some asshole who just terrorized a mother and kids with a gun claiming he needs to “call Jesus” does deserve a “don’t you dare call Jesus”. I seriously doubt Jesus would condone a gunpoint carjacking on a mother and her children. His call to Jesus should be for forgiveness if he is truly “Christian”.

Plus the guy was out on parole.

But comments here are trashing the police in this case??? Wow.

Cleveland Cops? Guilty. SI Cop? Guilty. NYC Cop who cracked kids head open for jumping a subway turnstile? Guilty. These cops? Nice job, yes.

In fairness to the lady who shot the video, she had no idea what preceded it. She probably thought it was some vagrant getting busted.
