I am so very sorry to hear this. I wish her well, and hope she will be as fortunate as my sister-in-law and several good friends who are all longterm survivors of this dreaded disease.
Damn. I appreciate her gracious statement and wish her a wonderful outcome. She has given me a million laughs. May she give a million more.
Good wishes. Unless you’re very young or very lucky you know women who’ve had it and some didn’t get well. And she’s a real talent with more to give.
Louis-Dreyfus’ publicist said no further details about her condition would be provided at this time, adding that the actress “is incredibly grateful for the outpouring of support and well wishes.”
Add me to the list of well wishers. I know from 2nd hand experience (sis-in-law) that breast cancer isn’t necessarily a death sentence, but that doesn’t make it any more fun to go through. Fight it. Win it. And carry on being exactly who you are.
The intelligence she has always radiated hopefully indicates that she got to the doctor the minute she thought something was wrong–or gets routine checkups–and that she caught it well in time.
Hope she has a good result from treatment. That is a strong statement of her values as a human being, wish many others would share it.
She plays one of the most horrendous characters on teevee and makes you laugh. I’m sure it’s modeled on characters we see on the news all the time!!
