Discussion for article #226181
It literally took almost 3 seconds watching ThisWeek to hear Jon Karl’s political pro-Bush slant. The old networks seemingly have all the answers except when they don’t but you’ll have to depend upon your own personal memory for corrections.
Best media video of the week? Any Luke Russert White House stand up…
Of course, none of this would be needed if it weren’t for Dick Cheney’s and George W. Bush’s lies and Condi’s and Colin’s collusion.
Putting aside their horrible decision to self flagellate at America’s expense they then compounded their fuck-up by disbanding the Iraqi military and any and all elements of Iraqi government that might have been useful in restoring order and bringing the country forward out of chaos.
Just unfrickingbelievable incompetency borne of neo-con hubris.
theDick, Rummy and Condi should be frog marched out to a C-140 and airdropped into Mosul wearing their best dark suits. And Colin Powell should be, and is, rightfully ashamed.
The break it and blow it to hell up, then come back and show compassion style of war is about as dumb as anything that I can imagine.
All of the lost lives and suffering could just as easily never have happened. The choice between send the army or send the aid should always start with the aid.
America’s influence has to be greater than just our military might and human weakness to use it to foolishly try to solve problems that don’t have military solutions.
The bigger and bigger military and the more frequent engagements are making us weaker, not stronger and definitely not better.
Yes, we are ass deep in the Iraqi nightmare now, thanks to a family named Bush.
So we are bound as Americans to help, to care, to do what we can regardless of the stupidity that caused it. Hate the war but love the soldiers and the innocent victims is how it goes.
We may never get out of this and that’s why we should never have gotten into this. The world is suffering because we let some oil greedy yahoos with a Daddy complex bullshit us. One time has proven to be one time way too many. Never again, never again!
