I am almost willing to be the country that takes the fall, if it really does wake everyone else the fuck up.
I truly care about the EU. It’s the last bastion for democratic socialism, the real kind, the kind that has been part of a relatively stable landscape for 70 years at least.

Kind of a “we’re fighting fascism over here to that the rest of the world doesn’t have to fight it over there” type of scenario.
When I think of how the GOP would have treated HRC, how Twitler would have used his 140 characters dozens of time each day and how rabid he’d have turned his “base”, how much worse Ryan/McConnell would have run their chambers (if it really could be worse…) maybe we had to learn this lesson the hard way.
At least now people are woke!

Yeah I have to agree.
I thought she was going to be our president and I figured it would be one long war. This way it’s an entirely different kind of war and we’re on the winning side - and the winning side is incredibly more populous than the losing side.
And unlike the Clinton Wars, this war might just serve a good point. It really might mean something this time. Dog willing.

As I stated before, about the only thing he can recall is his strong animus against blacks, immigrants, and LGBT people.

Same here. I suspect the commission members are appalled at what they’re seeing coming out of the DOJ after eight years of decent progress. Even the years under GWB were downright good when compared to the first six months of Trump/Sessions.

I’m not sure what the alt-right expected Trump to actually accomplish, but I’m heartened that there are far too many decent, thoughtful people in and out of Government for them to get much of what they wanted.
