Discussion: US Adds 211,000 Jobs In November, Unemployment Rate Stands At 5 Percent

Discussion for article #243432

Imagine where we would be without Obamacare and all the other “job-crushing” policies.

We would be sitting pretty with a negative unemployment rate.

Thanks Obama.

"Still, a strong U.S. dollar is weighing on U.S. exports and cutting factory output, while also lowering profits for U.S. multinational corporations. The dollar has jumped 13 percent in value in the past year, thereby making U.S. goods costlier overseas and imports cheaper in the United States."

How could that be? I thought we were going to be Greece by now…

Republicans pretending like we’re doomed with imminent economic catastrophe is soooooo 2012. You didn’t hear we’re supposed to be all scared of Syrian refugees and Hillary’s super shadowy emails now?

Seriously, that’s the zoomed in pic for this story? Focused on her cleavage?

From Think Progress: Revisions added more jobs than previously reported to past months: September was revised up from 137,000 to 145,000, while October went up from 271,000 to 298,000, for a net 35,000 extra jobs.

I know, I’m sorry.

I have an affliction. I don’t have the memory of a gnat.

I am disappointed though.

Me and my wife had plans to wallpaper our house with $100 bills.

I guess I will have to wait until the Republicans control all three branches of Government, like they did from 2000-2006.

This sounds right. I can only speak for my area–Albemarle County, VA–but there is a serious construction boom happening right now–showing no signs of letting up, either.

LOL. Yeah, I was wondering about that. First thing I thought was “Big titties, there.”

Orange County, and California as well, are on a tear right now,

And we were “almost bankrupt” and “were going the way of Greece” according to Republicans.

Wait, I should probably go to Greece, it must be a fucking fantabulous place!

That’s why all the Pubbie talk about terror, PP and repealing for the 56th time Obamacare.

They can’t talk about our lowest unemployment rate in more than a decade, housing sales zooming, gas at under $2.00 in most states, 10+ million more covered by healthcare…and the list goes on. As a pro player once said…they ain’t got nothing!

Darcy is shitting in his britches. You notice he’s been silent on the job growth which used to be his prime bitch about the President. Now I see he’s calling him the worst president ever. Darcy isn’t worthy of wiping the President’s butt.

Wow an Orange County liberal. I didn’t know there were any there.
California is on the move because we have a wonderful Governor and when he finishes his term, we will have Govenror McDreamy Gavin Newsome who is even more progressive than our present governor. Now if only we can get some rain from El Nino.

Darcy has been on a tear lately. The other day he posted “good riddance” to the TPM story about the date for President Obama’s final State of the Union address.

At this point I think he is little more than a troll.

You know I saw and you know what my response was. Yes, I think you are correct that he is trolling at this point and likes to stir the pot. Part of that is his forgetting to take his meds.

I’m surprised he didn’t respond to a post I wrote the other day about how Obama would be remembered 50 years from now – that would surely have branded me as an uber-Obot to him!

He likes to get into arguments with me because he feels comfortable insulting me whereas you not so much.

I just don’t think he likes “arguing” with you because you usually win the day. He likes getting under my skin which he does very well, I hate to admit.
