Donkeys and dogs eh?
Well, my dog does not like her dignity messed with.
Working for Trump is demeaning in general.
To be fair, she was not treated worse than cabinets members, ask Jeff Sessions about the insults that Trump has thrown his way. They are equal opportunity boors in Trumpistan.
I’ll believe that Republicans are serious about cleaning up illegal immigration the day we start actively prosecuting the owners of businesses who hire them.
I fully agree and yet when I mention this concept to ranchers and farmers in the very red counties of Calif. they get livid. A couple of them even ranted at how unfair this burden of proof is to them. My microscopic violin is broken.
ICE gets on Greyhound buses for less.
Trump’s a liar and a crook and a chiseler and a…
First off, these women should sue.
Second …
Morales said that a supervisor at the club helped her get phony working papers.
… this is a very serious federal crime. I wonder what the chances are the DOJ will pursue this?
Burden of proof would be very easy, if we just did what almost every other advanced nation does and issue national ID cards.
Which would also solve those pesky voter ID problems.
But I notice that the same people who decry voter fraud and illegal immigrants also are opposed to the easiest solution to combat both… It’s almost like they don’t actually want to solve the problems…
So Trump knew he had undocumented workers in his company and lied about it during the campaign, in an especially vile and vicious manner. What else is new?
But this puts him in an interesting dilemma. Remain a hypocrite on his signature political issue or fire all undocumented workers and hurt his business.
I wonder how much he’s paying them and if he’s obeying all federal employment laws, or perhaps I should say all other employment laws.
Who was it who got taken down years ago because they had an undocumented nanny? Damn I remember that but can’t remember who it was.
Was it Clinton’s first AG pick?
Zoe Baird? Trump’s done far worse, but he is a Republican.
Bless you! Yes that’s who it was. Thanks.
I guess it doesn’t count since Clinton is a Democrat.
First and second.
I remembered Zoe Baird with the nanny. I didn’t remember if that was what kept Lani Guanieri (I know I misspelled it) out of the office (alas).
No, the second nominee was Kimba Wood.
Lani was not nominated to be Attorney General. Such a thing would have been impossible at the time. She was nominated to be Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights. Needless to say, the Republicans (and some Democrats) attacked her. Bill Clinton calculated that it would cost him too much to defend her, and that was that.
O that’s right. I was very interested in her voting plan. Which is probably why I remember her the best.
But now that you have brought her up I remember Kimba, too.
Nevertheless, you’re only guilty if you’re going to work in a Democratic administration. They aren’t going to extend the same test over to themselves and their president, apparently.

Morales said that she witnessed the murder of her father when she was 7. Her father-in-law was also killed back home after she crossed the border into the U.S. in 1999
You see? They are violent!
Diaz said she once witnessed a manager pull the hair of a worker without legal papers.
Do you mean to tell me that it’s possible to acquire legal papers which allow you to pull the hair of a worker? I would never have thought that this was possible.
