Discussion: Under Fire, Eric Trump Said 7 Times That Dad Paid 'Tremendous' Amount Of Taxes

Hey, I would love to hear Trump say he will NEVER LIE again!

Republicans have complained for years about “the poor” who receive government assistance and don’t pay “taxes,” by which they mean income taxes. All of the other local, state, and federal taxes they pay don’t count when it comes to people who are struggling. But to no one’s surprise, it’s different when we’re talking about Republicans. In order to be fair, we have to count all of the taxes paid by HO, as well as his company, his children, his employees, the people he’s cheated, and everyone that he has ever encountered as being connected to him.
OK–maybe not the part about the other people. I exaggerated. But the idea that he should get praised for paying the kind of taxes that Republicans ignore when other people pay them is galling. (edited for clarity)

A note on real estate taxes. In New Jersey, the Trump golf course in Bedminster is farm assessed. They pay property taxes on the building, but not the land. In order to use this exemption, you have to earn $500 per year on whatever it is you are farming (most non-farmers sell firewood).

This is just a small example and I’m sure he does this in other states. Tremendous.

Since his son is so clearly a disinterested party, I guess we can stop asking questions about his taxes. I also believe the Earth is flat and that the Sun orbits the Earth. Make America Gullible Again!

He learned well from his father. Did he go to Trump University?

Exactly, he repeatedly said “as a company”, but that’s not what was asked. This is confirmation that Donald Trump doesn’t pay income taxes.

All I know is that Supergirl uses the phrase “Stronger Together” a LOT on her show.

I am not saying Hillary is Supergirl…but it does make some people wonder.

P.S. And Lynda Carter (aka DIana Prince from the 70s) is going to be the President on the new season

Property tax maybe, Eric but until we see proof you are just blowing hot air.

So here’s one of he ways that Qusey here is lying:

There is only one kind of company that pays any income tax: what lawyers and accountants call a C-corporation because it’s tax assessment is determined pursuant to subchapter C of Chapter mumble-something of Part mmble of the Internal Revenue Code, which is codified as Title 26 of the U.S. Code.

All corporations formed in America are treated as C-corps unless the owners elect (and qualify for) subchapter S treatment. There are restrictions–only one class of shareholders, each of whom must be a human being or a qualified trust, and no more than (as I recall) 100 of them. S-Corp income gets treated the way the income of every single other business entity gets treated–instead of being taxed at the corporate level it “flows through” the entity and ends up sitting on the individual shareholder’s 1040. Like the other entities–partnerships, joint ventures (a form of partnership), LP’s, LLC’s, S-Corp’s have to file returns, BUT THEY PAY NO INCOME TAX!!!

Based on what financial disclosure forms he has filed, Trump does not do business through C-Corps. The only one I’m aware of is the one he formed in a scheme to take his failing casinos public, pocket the IPO cash, siphon tens of millions of dollars from them into his pocket, and leave them bankrupt and the shareholders screwed. Which is a one time thing because when you do that, no one will ever, ever, ever invest in a business you are associated with again.

When Qusay says “as a company” we pay “tremendous” income tax, he’s lying because a) there is no single “company,” not even a holding company (because S-Corp stock can’t be held by c-corps) and b) there is no company that Trump owns or owns part of that pays taxes. Rather, it all flows onto individual returns. Just like the net operating losses flow onto individual returns.

The little shitweasel is flat out lying. Willfully, deliberately and arrogantly.

Thing is as far as I can tell the company and trump are one and the same tax wise.

Prove it, Butthead.

i’m clearly a ‘left field’ guy, so as of now, there is no real reason to continuously keep on about Don Trump’s tax returns. I rather concentrate on leaving Trump a note with this simple sentence: ‘where are your personal tax returns sir?’.

After addressing that, I would proceed to address that nearly billion dollar loss and other Trump financial issues. Any Trump surrogate or modern day Republican wanting to address that will then get a new note from me: ‘refer to my first note’.

funny how he was asked several times if his father had paid “federal” income tax, and he responded with “tremendous taxes”

finally, he said yes to the question, but he sounded reluctant like he knew he was lying.

technically, trump could have paid $1 in 18 years and eric wouldn’t have been lying.

but clearly he was evading and trying to deflect.

I am pretty sure she has not “lived off the government” for at least four years, and that she paid more in federal income tax last year than Trump has for the last 20 years. What an idiot.

How much you want to bet he has some employee of his buy that firewood?

as a company we pay a tremendous amount of tax

If you want the individual protections a corporate structure affords you must keep the corporation separate from your personal finances. It shouldn’t matter one bit what the company pays when the subject is Trump’s personal income. If Eric Trump sees them as synonymous that’s a problem.

Why are you calling me names?

Apologies. I was referring to Ewick
