If only Cockholster had been able to campaign for her. Sad.
Would love to have seen Labor win outright, but this is a pretty good result. The Conservatives lost seats, and if they donāt win a majority I assume that means they will need to form a coalition government with one of the other parties, none of which support Brexit or the xenophobia that underlies Brexit.
If May ends up with a hung Parliament (no jokes please), the Tories will have problems with Brexit coming up.
Oops.
Tyrannosaurus Bone Spur has popped her balloon. The gondola plummets.
We werenāt wise enough as a country to protect ourselves from unrestrained Trumpism, but I think the rest of the world has already learned some lessons.
Actually happy to see Corbyn do so well ā heās flawed but between he and May, only he appears to have some core beliefs.
Our British friends owe the Tea Party for their role in electing Donald Trump, because his bizarre conduct and acute failures brought May down below the threshhold for independent action.
Is my recollection that the Tories and Labor are both on record as saying they would never enter a coalition with the SNP correct?
Sadly enough, it appears that our own downfall helped snapped the rest of the world out of its ānationalistā daze.
Now the LDāsā¦
Well they went before us
āJeremy Corbyn has refused to rule out forming a coalition Government with the SNP and the Liberal Democratsā¦ā
Kinda like Trumpās Republican Party coalition with Putinās United Russia Party?
Kinda
Though any SNP - Labour get together might get him heat with Dugdale (who is now feuding with Sturgeon).
Not exactly going to be a happy Brady Bunch blended family if it happens.
Especially if some plucky reporter gets Dugdale (Scots Labour) to chatting about her previous Corbyn remarks
It sounds as if the rump lib dems could barely put the tories over the top if they want to be vilified for the rest of their short political lives.
Unless thereās something missedā¦
Iām happy to hear that more informed types think that wonāt happen.
I do wonder just how all the Very Serious People who were furious at Corbyn destroying Labor once and for all will react to this.
Snark- im looking for a bag to fit my head, because i was wrong about Corbyn n Yougov.
Serious: he did it and his gains.will likely be larger than ā45ā's, so ya know what that means.
Now this moment could mean that the Sanders-Clinton war will be getting more ātechnicolorā, but that can wait.
