Discussion for article #247342
poetic justice would be Ammon or Cliven being transferred to Texas and being assigned as Warren’s new cell mate…
interminable discussions about Federal injustice and religious persecution ensue…
The SkyMan blinds another bunch with his ConMan on earth.
It’s a twofer. Jeffs gets to keep overseeing his criminal enterprise from prison, and the cultists get to “bleed the beast” by forcing a bunch of extra work onto the prison.
How about if they tell him the next time he pulls any shady crap, he gets released into the general population with a sign that says “Convicted Child Molester.”
Once again his defining characteristic according to the headline is “polygamist”. Not Mormon, not child molester, no… his truly heinous crime is polygamy.
If a gay person is in prison for murder, would the headline read “TX Prison Plagued By Sneaky Tactics Of Jailed Homosexual Sect Leader”?
“Sexually assaulting 12 and 15-year old child brides” sure sounds like child molestation to me - at least for the 12 year old(s). Not sure what age of consent is where he was getting “married”.
yeah, talk to Jeff’s nephew, he can tell you Jeff didn’t discriminate between sexes that way.
Did you read the freaking column?
Kiddie rapists make me very fond of the death penalty.
@DButch @morriganinoregon @TwoWolves
I do know the story, and the column doesn’t elaborate on any of his before prison crimes beyond what we already know. I was being snarky because I do think he’s heinous, especially because of the child molestations. That’s my issue with the media’s preference of calling him a polygamist. He’s guilty of for more universally bad things than polygamy (and I’m aware that the way they implement polygamy isn’t healthy either). Yet that’s what they keep tying to him first and foremost, contributing to our society’s idea that anything besides monogamous love is just unnatural and universally immoral. And yes I’m sensitive about it.
I’d be happy with an article entitled “Gross Guy Still in Jail”. Doesn’t have to be more than a couple sentences.
That can’t happen. Jeffs was convicted in Texas under Texas statutes, while Ammon and Cliven are facing Federal charges. Ammon and Cliven are going to be incarcerated in DoJ’s system. Warren’s ass belongs to Texas.
my mistake… I thought he was convicted in AZ and sent to TX…
but I still like my fantasy
“Prison officials said it was the second time recently that Jeffs’ wives were caught trying microphone-in-the-watch that ploy.”
Hunh?
Warren Jeffs must go to WalMart for his glasses. I had those same frames
Darn! Because after I read the article, my thought was, since the prosecution and sentencing is done with him. let’s send him to Guantanamo for some of the gov’t’s special treatment! Enough “enhanced interrogation” might raise Jeffy boy’s conciousness level, and maybe, just possibly, accelerate his descent into hell, where he really belongs!
In any case, he should receive no special consideration in that prison & should definitely be out with the rest of the prison population, where he’ll definitely get the “special treatment” he deserves…
Wait…
What the f*#% do you mean there’s no Santa Claus living at the North Pole?
Mormon Crazy is a whole 'nother crazy.
Oh boy, here we go with the cheering for that most enlightened of extra-judicial punishments - Homosexual Prison Rape. Go Fightin’ Sodomists!
Problem solved!
