Discussion: TX GOP Group Defends Axed Teacher's Right To Speak Of 'Burden' Of Illegal Immigrants

So then we should be able to speak of the ā€˜burdenā€™ of having a TX GOP?

Theyā€™re clearly not sending their best people.

Really? So when she magically hands out failing grades to all the brown people in her classes, weā€™re supposed to trust that was just the ā€œBell Curveā€??? These KKKlowns are so fucking stupid itā€™s scary all over again every damn day.

Iā€™m trying to figure out what English class activity would require students be separated by race?

And F*uck Fort Worth Republican Womenā€™s club for sticking their noses in without reading her tweets where she asked iDiJiT for help getting the 'illegals" out of FWISD, they should have done their homework before spouting off.

ā€œWhile we donā€™t know all the things involved in rules she might have violated with her employer, we donā€™t know policies concerning social media or any of that kind of thing, the position of the club is the teacher should not be fired for stating that coming into the country illegally is breaking the law and is putting a burden on our schools,ā€

I just dont see what belittling children has to do with educating them.

It is unclear to me how and why a public school teacher ascertains a pupilā€™s immigration status and by what authority she does it.

Also unclear why more people havenā€™t figured out that spewing bigoted political rants on social media can jeopardize oneā€™s livelihood. If you are stupid enough to do it, though, you are way too stupid to be teaching school.

ā€¦via skin-colorā€¦

Well, that was the method used by at least one former teacher.

Not just skin color: They also consider accent and surname.

Yes many employers look at public post when looking at potential employees.

Although there are certainly bigots in the ranks, there are many excellent, dedicated teachers in Texas public schools who have been educating students of every hue and ethnicity for many years. Overworked and underappreciated.

Interesting that what follows was a careful bracketing of their position. Like they are really not sure of where they stand. So why make a comment at this moment until that understanding is completed.

ā€œClark reportedly thought the tweets were private messages sent directly to President Trump.ā€

Uh-huh, please go on. Do tell us that you made this egregious error due to a technical misunderstanding. We note that you also provided your phone number and name. Also consider that you expect a direct call from the president or his staff addressing your concerns. Meanwhile you may be wondering why your family is discussing your potential retirement and move to an assisted living situation.

ā€œthey had been separated in their classroom for activities by ethnicity, with one side being ā€˜little Mexicoā€™ and one side being ā€˜white breadā€™ or ā€˜Americaā€™ā€

Yep, its the 50s again.

It should go without saying that most teachers are underappreciated and many are excellentā€¦but as with many things in this country we overlook it bears repeating. Unfortunately the transgressors inevitably get the exposure and the ones who do their daily jobs with excellence are typically overlooked and under-heralded.
