Discussion: Twitter Fail: Scott Walker Prematurely Tweets He's Running For President

It’s pretty difficult to endure for eighteen months every four years.

I blame voters for letting candidates get away with this and I’ve no expectation of it changing.

I really wish we could impose laws like they have in England- say no more than seven months of campaigning total- three months of campaigning for the primary, which is nationwide on one day- a month’s break for runoffs (if necessary) and the conventions at the end, then three months for the general election campaign.

Damn, I don’t. I think if he can hoodwink enough Wisconsin voters, he can hoodwink the American electorate. Yeah, he’s got a lot of baggage, but so does Hillary (unfortunately, most of it manufactured by such as Politico & other Clinton-bashers). My belief is that (to borrow a phrase from another post-er yesterday) is that this Koch-sucker is a) very dangerous (like Geo W, who also hoodwinked his state’s voters & the American electorate), & b) more likely than anyone else to get the Rethuglican nomination.

If Walker were any kind of leader he’d take responsibility for his own account – can we trust him with ours now? – but I go easy on the poor schmuck who made a simple mistake in a hornet’s nest of fast-moving complexity.

Walker isn’t doing Twitter, and Twitter’s CEO isn’t administering Twitter’s network.

All our blame ultimately winds up in the lap of somebody struggling to hold on to a low-paying job while people like the CEO and Walker sit around sipping mint juleps, calculating the number of digits that should be in their bonuses because they are obviously so vital to smooth operations.

Walker’s wife’s reaction to the premature Tweet?

“Now you know how I feel.”

The repubs are never going to master the innertubes.

It’s a nice dream. But all they would have to do is say they are not running and continue to make speeches.

I don’t see him getting the nomination. He’s totally lacking in charisma and Wisconsin’s economic performance has lagged under him. Texas did fairly well economically under Bush; it doesn’t matter whether it was in spite of his policies, results matter. That’s why I thought Perry was going to do well last time, before he imploded in the debates. It’s why Christie is toast.

“Scott is in. Are you?” Sure, everyone else is running, so why not you?

Someone who works for the Koch boys tweeted it, I’m sure. After all, he’s their puppet. Why shouldn’t they get to say when he’s running?

There is now in this country a campaign industry, even for dolts, maybe particularly for dolts who don’t have a snowball’s chance in hell. There is advertising, there are advisers who at bottom have no principles and just go with the prevailing winds and candidates, there are poll takers, there is media which lives for the horse race reporting.

So, someone else hit ‘send’?

Amateur.

Scooter is terrifying. As evil as he is, he can come off smooth to low information voters and the corporate overlords LOVE him (and are willing to pay him) for horrible moves like this that came out yesterday and NO ONE is talking about it:

If the voters lose their minds next year (a la Dub), this awful puppet could do so much damage to our country, much of it irreversible, as he’s done to WI.

I don’t wish him anywhere near the nomination. He scares me big time.

More like “premature jack-off-ulation.”

Walker himself … after all he is so savvy he’s his own strategist.

Strategize this, Scooter!
