My thoughts exactly. If Twitter won’t block trump’s tweets then trump shouldn’t be able to block any comments replying to them.

If they are truly official government statements, then I might agree. But if they are not, Trump should be held to the same standard as any other run of the mill neo-Nazi.

Time for the Trump Administration to pick a side wrt the tweets.

“The President recently bragged about the size of his nuclear button…”

It’ll never be as big as Obama’s.

I don’t know what upsets me more. The fact that Twitter thinks it is a platform for the serious discussion of global politics, or the fact that so much of the public has been dumbed down to the point where Twitter actually is the proper platform for their serious discussion of global politics.

Thinking you can solve or discuss complex global issues in 140 or 280 characters is about as smart as putting Jared in charge of Mideast peace, government reorganization, opioid crisis, etc.

Yah, Twitter is so dang important that I’ve forgotten to sign up :smirk:

PuPPet would check with the rubes at his campaign rallies as to whether he should keep tweeting when he got elected (and sadly he did. In a way). They roared back with something and he heard what he took to mean yes

There are a few people I follow on Twitter including David Corn and Ezra Klein and what they do is probably close to what Twitter is meant be used for. They include articles and stories and retweet from other people and provide links to their websites including Mother Jones and Vox. Who’s Puppet going to link to besides RT? Or Ivanka and clamshell staging?

Damn, Hitler would’ve loved Twitter. Think of the outreach. Sick shit. Bad decision. No human being should be exempt from outrageous, immoral behavior or inciting violence. No one!

Me too. Oops, there goes that hashtag again, though when I do it here it makes all my typing 10 feet tall, so I’ll pass on it for now.

Hell will freeze over before I sign up for that (though I enjoy reading some).

…and the poisoning of America continues.

I do not believe Trump can be said to be a ‘world leader’ until we can find someone outside the United States that is inclined to follow him. The Israeli’s manipulate him, but that does not count as following. Some are worried that he may kill us all, but that is not following. I think they said ‘elected’ too. That is debatable at best.

What a cop out… what about at least putting a banner on the tweets or accounts that state that they regularly violate Twitter’s TOS, but are exempted.

There seriously needs to be more social media competition; Facebook and Twitter having such a monopoly is never good, especially since they won’t police their platforms

They do in other countries where the Dear Leader demands it if they want do business and play in their sandbox. They just don’t do it here. That’s the rub. So much hypocrisy.

I agree. I’d rather know what’s on Trump’s deteriorating mind than not. That said, Twitter and Facebook are both poisned wells of which society dips into far too often.

Twitter is gleefully participating in the genocide of the homo sapiens species. If threatening to kill 7.6 billion people through nuclear annihilation doesn’t violate Twitters rules, NOTHING DOES!

I’m a world leader on the effect of the Mahdist revolt in the Sudan on the permanence of the British occupation of Egypt. Does that qualify?
