Tucker is statistically wrong. Households with children and guns for the denominator with fatalities as the numerator. Compare that fraction to households with children and bathtubs as the denominator and deaths by bathtub drowning as the numerator. Tucker will find a vast difference with the rate of gun deaths far surpassing bathtub deaths.

Thank you – I was pretty sure he had to be blowing smoke, because I don’t know when I’ve ever heard an actual news story about a child drowning in a bathtub. I know it happens, but I also figured it had to be rare. And I also know that Tucker Carlson is a jerk and untrustworthy about facts.

Well – bathtubs aren’t mentioned in the Constitution, so I’m sure they figure any regulation of bathtubs is fine, but just don’t touch their guns!

about 80 per year in the U.S. So-called ‘accidental’ gunshot killings of children kill about 500 (!) annually in the U.S. and there are about 10,000 (!!!) children injured in gunshot incidents annually. Carlson should be ridden out of town on a rail after being tarred and feathered for this mendacity for money!!!

The proper way to look at this is small children take at least 2 baths every week and nearly 100% of homes have bath tubs, yet only 1.7 MM homes have unsecured guns and look at the carnage caused by guns. Bathtubs are much safer on a per capita and usage basis.
I believe either Colbert or Stewart mocked him for it over and over and like a true little wimp he stopped wearing it.
