Because in right-wing âhumorâ mocking the powerless is the same as satirizing the powerful.
I wonder if lilâ Tuckâs mom still has to remind him to wear his underwear UNDER his clothesâŚ
"Carlson went on to bemoan that âyou will never, ever see that.â
Why? Iâm not understanding Carlsonâs ârationalizingâ (such as it is) on this unless heâs implying that humor (dominated by LIBERALS) is too politically correct? It just seems like a stupid, inept analogy.
Iâll bet you do, Iâll bet you do. (Nudge, Nudge, Grin, Grin, Wink, Wink, Say No More!)
Carlson clearly has the memory of a gnat. SNL did lots of transgender/unigender comedy around the character of Pat (Julia Sweeney), circa 1990â1994. And, as usual, they milked it past its expiration date and retired it when there was no fresh humor available. Ergo, SNL was about 20 years ahead of Carslon. They have a history of making fun of bowtie-wearing dweebs, too.
You know, if you donât count the times SNL makes fun of Obama and other left-leaning politicians and causes, it never makes fun of left-wing politics.
One of my earliest SNL memories, a future Senator playing a then-current one:
Pat Schroeder: Senator Simon⌠why the bow tie?
Paul Simon: Pat⌠my advisorrrs⌠have been begging me for
yearrrs⌠to get rid of the bow tieee. But with Paul Simon, what you
seeee is what you get⌠and Iâm not about to chage my bow tieee to
please some media advisorrr. And sooo⌠I wearrr⌠the bow tieee. And I
think the American people want a president whoâs not afraid to say, âI
am who I ammm⌠bow tieee and all.â [ timer sounds ] Uh⌠may I finish?
[ Pat nods ] So thatâs why I wearrr⌠the bow tieee. Thank you.
There are many things I wish to see regarding CarlsonâŚbut I doubt theyâll ever happen.
âI would love to see an SNL sketch like making fun of transgender bathroomsâ
Honestly, I would too. Of course, I can think of 100 ways to make it fucking hilarious without it being demeaning or offensive in the way these bigots intend.
Tucker Carlson: âAnd I want black jokes. Now!â
HeyâŚmaybe Tucker Bowtie can start up a new venture in comedy if heâs so concerned that American humor isnât bigoted enough with rightwing memes. Maybe he can use Dennis Miller as the host because that went so well the last timeâŚ
For his part, he called the âSNLâ segment âkind of funny.â
Still a douche.
Carlson doesnât understand comedy. Itâs funnier to go after people with power. Transpeople really donât have any power, and if SNL would do such, Carlson would be at the butt of the joke.
You have to be a fundamentally horrible person to think mocking transgender people is funny. As if such folks hadnât faced years of bullying and mockery already.
ME: I want to see âSNLâ make fun of Tucker Carlson
Larry Craigâs transitioning?
You have your own show Tucker. Go for it dude, Iâm sure that it will be hilarious!
I want to see TCâs head get flushed in a transgender bathroomâŚthat might be good for a few laughs as wellâŚ
UmmmâŚTucker, remember what happened the last time you offered a suggestion to a comedian? Iâm not positive but it sure looks like you got the show canceled and your ass kicked .
Iâts just a thought but you really should leave the comedians alone.
