Discussion: Trump's Tweets Could Make Life Tough For Federal Lawyers

Bummer. That’s why attorneys tell their clients to not post in social media during litigation.

Is it that he telegraphs what he’s going to do, while imagining himself to be unpredictable?

I don’t believe we have ever needed this before, but Congress needs to set up a law that members of the Executive branch, or at least the Oval Office, must disable and shut down their social media accounts.

It is only a matter of time before DT lets loose on something on the Twitterverse that is seriously harmful.

With the current Republican Congress, the Courts may be our only defense against Trump tyranny. So, Mr. So-called President, keep tweeting your grievances and spewing your free-association jumble of words that reveal your tenuous connection with reality. After enough defeats (not winning), change will come.

That’s true only until we scare the shit out of enough congress-weasels. Some, like Chaffeckless probably don’t have anything to worry about. Others do have things to cause concern.

Twenty-three congressional districts that went to Clinton (re)-elected a Republican to Congress. Those 23 weasels are going to be vulnerable in 2018, and they’d better be paying attention to the protests.

Look at what happened to Cheffeckless, Amash, McClintock and others in their town halls: people were out telling these rat-bastards to do your job. For many protestors, do your job means conducting proper oversight of the administration.

When these rat-bastards get the message we will start getting the oversight we deserve from them.

You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law.

It wasn’t too long ago the right hated these words. Now, I imagine they are embracing these words fully.

By the way, do you have the time?

I wish I had a fiver for every episode of “L&O” in which a criminal defense attorney says, “Shut up!” to their idiot client who can’t keep his fool mouth shut in the interrogation room.

Someone needs to read Trump his Miranda rights: You do not have to say anything, but anything you say may be used in court against you.

Sorry, didn’t see yours before I posted mine. Great minds and all that.

Somebody should read Trump his Miranda rights (revised): “Anything you tweet can and will be used against you in a court of law.”

“This is what’s so surprising about Trump’s statements and his use of Twitter: He says all kinds of things that undermine the claims that the government is making in litigation,” said Eric Posner…

Surely that was said tongue-in-cheek, since his use of twitter is about the least surprising thing about trump.

The fact that he is a narcissistic toddler who doesn’t understand a damn thing, doesn’t help his lawyers either. Are we in for 4 years of Trump’s terrible twos?
