No need to pollute the coverage with fake stuff, Trump real news is bad enough. Additionally, what in Trump’s plan is beneficial to the “forgotten man.” Why is non of the coverage asking this question? The Wall Street Journal person on CBS’s coverage talked of how change will happen for the forgotten person in optimistic terms but did not mention any policy other than ones that would be harmful to the comman person as she listed executive orders to be rolled back and ACA repeal

Following up on my unscientific poll of earlier in the day, based on what I saw at lunch, somewhere north of 60% of the people who ate lunch downtown in my conservative center-right city got up this morning and decided to wear black. There was no social media call, no movement. Just people getting out of bed this morning and, whether consciously or not, deciding to dress in the color of mourning. (Albeit also the slimming color that goes with anything.)
So, in all seriousness, people, go read Josh’s editorial–the best effing thing he’s ever written for my money–and then, as we pull ourselves together and begin facing the darkness, remember that we aren’t a town, or a county, or a state. We are a nation and we are already in the majority in that nation. On Day One. A majority already growing and seemingly ready to seize on any form of peaceful resistance and join any expression of opposition that comes to their attention.
They want us to think that doesn’t matter. That it doesn’t matter to them and it shouldn’t matter to us. They will be telling those in the minority that it isn’t true, that it’s fake news because har har har these are the same polls that said Hillary was going to win.
They will do immense harm before we stop them. We will have another conservative majority on SCOTUS, with someone more extreme than Scalia making five. Public lands will be handed over to oligarchs, regulations will be gutted, climate change science sent down the memory hole. Accept that now. We will lose many fights between now and 2018. But we are the majority and that matters.
