In other words the man hasn’t got a clue about how to do this job. I hope those who voted for him at some point realize it.

The difference being, of course, that Chance is, as a person, rather harmless.

But he’s a couch potato.

I don’t care if they never do.

Everybody else gets it. There are 320 million people in this country. He was elected by 55,000 of them. That’s almost impossible without outside help.

They are a minority and you cannot persuade them of anything with reason or facts or the truth - they don’t roll like that.

So I don’t give a shit what they think - I want them back where they belong, the minority. This whole minority rule thing is way out of whack.

Some voted for him as a goof because they thought he had no chance. Others because they disliked Sec. Clinton for whatever reason. They are the one’s who have regrets. The rest are too benighted to worry about.

There was no “education.” Trump hasn’t learned a thing.

@tena, OT I’m finding it harder to explain my belief that Pence was uninvolved before the fact in this Russian treason setup. Some criminal lawyers(and prosecutors) become experts in conspiracy, and I wonder what they would think about the following: It seems to me that between his religion and his cluelessness that might spill over into loose talk that the sort of pros who would try to tip an election wouldn’t include him, except to bribe or intimidate him into looking the other way. Do you have an opinion on my theory?
@thunderclapnewman @irasdad Any thoughts or guesses?

There’s nothing in the conspiracy statues that has anything to do with your belief so it’s not a legal question, it’s a question of opinion - whether or not you believe Pence is on the inside.

I will certainly admit that he’s more religious than the rest of them. I can see him being involved from two different scenarios or set of circumstances or whatever. The first is where he justifies to himself on the basis of his religion as did the rest of the religious right when they voted for Trump. The second is where he cluelessly gets himself involved. That could go to his intent, but I haven’t seen the evidence, the conspiracy statutes are really broad and to my mind, it’s a matter of straight facts - was he telling the truth when he said Flynn lied to him or was he talking to Russians during the campaign? And when and why.

He’s showier about his religion—but it’s all for show.

No actual Christian could believe the crap he believes or act as he does.
If there were a God, Pence would have been struck by lightning by now.

PS–Pence is in the Russian thingy up to his ever-widening ass.

Frankly that’s my impression too.

I don’t think anyone of those assholes who clutter up the streets on Sunday morning going to church who voted for Trump is anything but a whited sepulcher of epic proportions.

They make me wish there was a Jesus who was coming back to damn and redeem.

Well, the best I can come up with about the lying was, ambition causes him to go along at first, with the potential Presidency as the bribe. Just sees nothing. The people on this end weren’t short on hubris, and might have told themselves not even to worry about things unraveling. Then things start to unravel, and he finds himself contacted by someone–maybe someone really important or a go-between. He’s told to shut up, or the others will allege that he was in up to his neck–sayiing he’s the ringleader would be a bridge too far. Anyway, the easy way out is to lie–actually I’m surprised he just didn’t say “I don’t recall”. Maybe the optics of the lie were easier. Thanks for your help. Also thanks to @thunderclapnewman.

All plausible but not really questions of law. Questions of fact.

split between moderate and conservative advisers

Horseshit.

He has fascist kleptocratic advisers, and it may be that he has merely kleptocratic advisers.

Y’all waffle enough yourselves, but why do you deliver this anodyne AP garbage?

That is what bothers him the most, he has provided more than enough proof that he is in over his head and clueless. On friday he said as much and can’t blame it on anyone else.

@thunderclapnewman, @tena
I listen to a Slate podcast called Trumpcast that is very informative and takes all kind of angles. The latest talks about the end of "values voters’ and how evangelical Christian has essentially become a code word for white and lost all of its meaning when it comes to actual Christianity. If you listen to podcasts you might find it interesting to subscribe to it.
