I bow to no one in my contempt and aversion for Trump, but so what? In 2009, the nation faced a very serious financial crisis. Millions had lost their jobs or were in fear of losing them. Homes were being foreclosed on by the tens of thousands. Very different today, when the economy is relatively robust (not for long) and unemployment is far below what it was when Obama took office. Oh, and fewer people are watching television.

And so I repeat: So what?

Iā€™m doing my part by watching but I really wish the on air media would help a little by not being so reactive. The man read a speech well. Palin did alsoā€¦thereā€™s a lot more evidence to prove this is not the norm. I donā€™t know a single professor who would give me an A in an entire class based on a single speech! Try to do better.

I had a conversation with someone and he told me that he couldnā€™t figure out how 45 had gotten good marks from the second debate.

Then he dug up a tweet from a LGM blog writer and it was at that point that both of us realized how low was the bar.

Thatā€™s why I ainā€™t sweating him getting a ā€˜gold starā€™ (and a participation trophy) from last night.

All of this praise ignores the fact that those current stock #'s are speculative.

Regardless of ā€˜shapeā€™, that future ā€˜receiptā€™ will be glorious.

I didnā€™t watch nor did i listen online, because i had an inkling of what was coming Tuesday.

Plus when Iā€™m aware that TPM D.C.'s newest dynamic duo (Sneed.n Ollstein), Esme Cribb,Matt Shurham (sorry if i misspelled) and Josh Marshall would tell me what was going on, why should i watch?
