Iāll bet that a close examination reveals more than one illegal (or erroneous, if you want to call it that) contribution in those discussed here. Although the tax law is not exactly scrupulous in classifying 501Ā©(3) organizations.
Serious question. Has Trump done anything, anything at all, that hasnāt been beneficial to himself or his family, either directly or indirectly?
From his Foundation, his bankruptcies, not paying contractors, bankrupting shareholders, Trump University, leading the birther movement, and now aggravating racial and religious tensions in this country. He doesnāt care about the trail of tears he leaves behind, as long as itās personally beneficial.
The evident intertwining of convenient contributions and the recipientsā epiphany that Donald is to be lauded as furthering a radically revised and just revealed version of Godās will, does seem like a sale of indulgences. Anyway: The āconservativeā religiosity crowd do seem to have a passion for golden calves.
Great timing, because Pence canāt possibly be ready with a lawyer vetted answer by debate timeānot with all the other shit he has to shovel.
The entire debate could be a referendum on Trump. Iād like to see Kaine go after the stuff Pence supports on his own. There is enough there.
Just think had the media done their jobs months ago we would be talking about Trumpās trial/s and not his campaign today.
At least a few of them seem to be waking up and doing something resembling their jobsāat least once over so often. Hell, even a Fox infotainer has done it a couple of times.
So he builds a parking place / personal ATM for Other Peopleās Money?
Go figure.
Itās amazing (and appalling) to watch the Trump people try to spin the behavior as the same as the Clinton Foundation, to the point that they are panicking. Iām seeing talking heads who are cutting that point off now, which is also amazing. At some point, a journalist needs to sit down and compare the transactions the two foundations made and show how clearly different they are.
The one amusing thing is Trump is owning this as him being smartā¦gaming the system and screwing over the population is a good thing in his eyes, and he is āthe only oneā who can stop it because he knows all about how to cheat. I hope people start to see that statement for what it is, and really push for financial reform after the election.
I donāt think Trump has ever had an idea that didnāt involve either his dick or his wallet.
He was caught at least once listing a similarly-named legitimate charity on the foundation tax return instead of the non-qualifying PAC that actually received the money. Warning to all: Once a cheater, always a cheater.
Does the phrase āCrooked Donaldā come to mind?
"I understand the tax laws better than almost anyone, which is why I am one who can truly fix them.ā
A desperate plea for help.
āStop me before I deduct again!ā
āthe foundationās transactions paint a picture of how Trumpā¦ā
And here I thought that portrait was done by speed painter Michael Israelā¦
It really feels like the corporate overlords have released the hounds. Keep things nice and close and ratings (and ad revenue) high ā but donāt let Trump actually get to the winnerās circle.
Just me or are we getting a picture of the Trump Foundation that looks very similar to what the Clinton Foundation has been accused of? Except that in terms of the Trump Foundation there actually appears to be fire and not just some smoke?
As unbelievable as it seems, Andrea Mitchell just went after Trumpās claim of business genius with Ben Carson. She asked him point blank, āIf Trump is the one who will reform the tax code, why do his tax proposals not only double down but expand the real estate (and other) loopholes for the wealthy?ā That question should be asked of Trump surrogates multiple times per day.
āTrump himself stopped donating to the foundation after 2008, according to tax filings,ā
Can you blame him?!? He knew the whole thing was a scam!
