I donā€™t understand why every Democratic lawmaker/official and every pundit doesnā€™t knock this one out of the park, repeatedly.

Trump considers these payments as ā€œbailoutsā€. They are only ā€œbailoutsā€ IF we end the ObamaCare requirement that X % of premiums be spent on actual health care (and the remainder be refunded to customers) and IF we eliminate the requirement that specific ā€œbasic medical necessitiesā€ be covered. Thatā€™s the ONLY way these payments could remotely be considered ā€œbailoutsā€. Of course, Republicans have argued in the past for ending both those provisions.

So why donā€™t Democrats beat them over the head with this stuff?

Speaker Straus basically said Fuck you and used his power to adjourn the House on the ā€œlast day.ā€ Straus did it at 1 minute past midnight. All bills not voted on for final passage died. Patrick had no choice but to adjourn the Senate. Greggie is fit to be tied.

Trump likes losers-the Confederacy, the Nazis, the crowd that thought they would repeal the ACA. Itā€™s what youā€™d expect from a guy who tried to buy the Mets and couldnā€™t even win thatā€¦

Thereā€™s so little real ā€œgoodā€ news for Donnie Two Scoops that they have to fill it with fake news just to give him enough volumeā€¦

The Washington Post said the same:

Trump announced the disbanding of the two councils . . . But those groups had already decided to dissolve on their own earlier in the day, a person familiar with the process said.

And when it comes to the Subsidy payments Iā€™ll wait and see if this liar actually does it, or decides to hold the payments hostage again instead.

Actually, he did it to avoid another embarrassment being shoved on him by, not just Congress, but a GOP Congress. They were going to pass legislation removing his control of the funds, and give it directly to Congress instead, and they were going to move on fairly quickly, with broad bipartisan support.

Really? I had no idea.

That asshole waited until the very last moment to decide just to maximize the amount of pain and worry in others. Moron.

His bigger fearā€¦being humiliated by Congress passing a veto proof piece of legislation taking this power away from him. So he is instead trying to sidestep the entire issue.

Congress is ready to put the healthcare debate in the rear view mirror (and by Congress, I mean the GOP in Congress). By threatening this, chances are pretty good that with his short attention span, Trump will forget all about it soon too.

ā€œTo address this instability, Republican lawmakers have introduced bills that would take the decision out of President Trumpā€™s hands by having Congress appropriate the funding for the CSRs for at least a year.ā€

From the article.

At which point ā€œhealthcareā€ will be transitioned to bloodletting and the casting out of evil spirits. Weā€™ll also need to pay for it in chickensā€¦
