Discussion: Trump To GOP National Security Experts: I Wasn't Going To Hire You Anyway

Although it’s always a mistake to take Trump’s responses seriously, it’s worth pointing out that many of those signing the letter were not responsible for policy–they were intelligence officials or executives/administrators responsible for implementing policy. Tarring them with the brush of “failed policy” is just lazy and ignorant on Trump’s part. In addition, their criticism of Trump doesn’t have to do with policy positions (particularly since his are changeable and careless), but on concerns about character, ignorance and how process would or would not work.

I don’t know why this isn’t the biggest story in the country! This is HUGE. ALL of these people were fine with George W. Bush, but apparently there is even a line THEY WON’T cross!

He can’t lose what he never had. Sure, Virginia may have been purple in the past but it’s pretty clear that it’s become blue and won’t be going red again anytime soon.

It was either Kornacki or McDonnell who posted a letter from Trumpence campaign criticizing these guys by pointing out they were involved in the Messopotamia so why would he want their counsel but adding H. Clinton was responsible for the rise of ISIS.

@spencersmom A big part of why she chose Kaine has to do with holding on to VA, and for me it was a very savvy move though I don’t think we saw it as such right away. We were looking for “exciting”, instead we’ll get 13 electoral votes.

We need to deal with the Hittite problem, don’t you think?

Seriously, who’s briefing Trump on national security issues? Seems like nobody wants to and anyone who’s tried walks away absolutely appalled at his lack of knowledge and immaturity.

This letter written by murderers, assassins, terrorists, torturers, eavesdroppers and generally vicious evil slime is the best reason yet for Trump’s supporters to continue to support him. These signatories are the bane of human existence on the planet and don’t deserve to live here with We The People. Trump is right. Go to hell, assholes. And, I’ll bet he gains support because of what they wrote and signed.

Does anyone really take this guy seriously?

I agree 100%. This speaks well of Trump, our peace candidate who knows that it makes sense to partner with Putin in world affairs and the fight against terrorism. Meanwhile, Obama and Hillary want to start a war with Russia, just to fund the MIC to an infinitely even greater wealth.

tRump needs no advice, okay. Listen, he has the best brain. He understands world events because he watches the Sunday shows, like Sleepy Chuck Todd’s. So, tRump will make the best decisions ever, and America will win so much, we’ll get tired of it.

I think you miss understanding just who supports Trump and why. You need to inform yourself that they are different from you in almost every way, and do not think like you. Millions of We The People in fact don’t agree with you or think like you, thank God.

Was going to make the same point. There are a number of shameful asswipes on that list.

The people who support trumpet are uneducated, woefully misinformed and driven by their hatred for The Black Man which has morphed into hatred for The White Woman.

They were fine with Bush the dumber because he had Cheney directing him. Trump hasn’t got a Cheney, he’s a one man band.
