Toast.
I canât stand all this âwinning.â
Make a good baseball cap.
Used to be called necklace on the necks of people deemed to be traitors/collaborators with Apatheid South Africa .
Paging @daveyjones64 âwhatâs the story on these races? Give us some good news.
It will be bad in WA state too. We do not have income tax so property and sales tax are high. It will hurt many people.
Also, just found this -James Comey speaks.
"Steele compiled the document for Fusion GPS, a firm hired by Hillary Clintonâs campaign to do opposition research on Trump. "
Why does everyone like Politico always forget to mention that initially it was Washington Free Beacon who commissioned the oppo research on Trump?
Sigh.
That Tweet ain*t from Donny - too many long words .
DeSantis: I am fucked.
Luther: Yes, you are.
Death knell for this guy.
And with all the folks leaving PR coming into the State with 45âs lack of intervention, this will not help DeSantisâ case one iota.
'DeSantis and Rep. Matt Gaetz 'âŚwhewâŚthese are a couple of rabid Trumpsters. They are not FOR AmericaâŚthey are loudmouth âitâs all about meâ jerkwads who donât care WHO they screw over as long as their face is on TV.
Is there a frontrunner for the Democratic nomination?
Hey, itâs only 29 electoral votes. Until the 2020 census.
But all accounts, at least 200,000 displaced Puerto Ricans have already relocated to FL with the estimate being upwards of 750,000 when itâs all done. Tramp âwonâ FL by less than 113,000 votes (oh and Stein + Johnson recâd neary 275,000 votes)
Not looking good, 'pubs. Not looking good at all.
Not really. The latest poll showed more people couldnât name a Democratic candidate, than showed support for anyone. The âorderâ right now is Gwen Graham, Andrew Gillum, Chris KingâŚwith Philip Levine just really getting started.
Levine has far more money than any of the others, so I expect him to move up very rapidly.
King is a political novice, and doesnât have much in the way of name recognition.
Gillum, IMO, probably has the most depth of any of them, but its dead last in fund raising and has a cloud looming over him concerning an ongoing FBI investigation into corruption in Tallahassee while he was mayor.
Graham has name recognition and is doing well in fund raising. But she is getting a lot of push back from South Florida, and there is a lot of skepticism about her being too conservative, based on her history in Congress.
There are rumors that there will be a 5th candidate declaring in January as well, a State Attorney from Miami Dade, but I donât know much about her.
And of course, John Morgan keeps trolling the campaign with a âwill he or wonât he, or will he run as a independentâ pose. Currently, its looking like he wonât runâŚbut he is a tough read. Most polling shows him leading ALL candidates on both sides of the aisle, but that is probably name recognition more than anything.
What this story is leaving out, is on the republican side, Latavla just resigned from office, ahead of an impending expulsion by his own party in the Senate. He was considered one of the big GOP candidates for governor, and his resignation will no doubt has played into DeSantisâs decision making. DeSantis is becoming sort of a perinatal runner for higher office. He was the guy who was leading for Rubioâs seat before Rubio stepped back in. And his name has been floating around for AG and Governor for about a year now. Putnam is probably leading their pack right now, but his stock seems to have fallen greatly in the past yearâŚback in January he was presented as Scottâs heir and the golden boy. NowâŚnot so much, as they keep looking around for others. (there are actually several others declared, but they are all relative no names so farâŚwith Cocoran, the current FL speaker of the House being a very large exception. But he hasnât formally declared yet).
Remember that the tax bill screws Puerto Rico. Itâs getting kicked and run over after being draw and quartered and then told its their fault.
Here, have some paper towels.
Lovely guy his trump fella
Someone, and by âsomeone,â I of course mean the various Democratic Party organs, has to make sure they get registered first.
(My advice for avoiding the barriers is to fake a Cuban accent.)
We are, and will continue to do soâŚweâve been registering voters at a pretty brisk pace (at least in my neck of the woods, and from what I hear, its pretty consistent across the state) all year, with even more of it next year.
But there are a few things people need to consider regarding Puerto Ricans moving to Florida. First, even if the total number reaches or tops the 750,000 estimates I have seenâŚits still less than 1% of the voting population. Of course, Florida statewide elections are extremely close racesâŚand 750K is more than enough to shift one. Finally, though this doesnât apply for statewide races, but it comes up when people start considering Congressional races (like DeSantisâ seat), is they are not dispersing across that state evenly. Some areas (Orlando, Miami) will see a lot of, some areas (like mine) will see almost none.
Donât be too sure. I know this guy and heâs one smooth operator. Heâll harp on his âSeal Team 6â experience in Iraq, although he was just an attorney giving them legal advice. Heâs a bag of wind but he knows which way to blow it. And the Democrats havenât fielded anybody that could beat Donald Duck as of yet.
In my experience, thereâs nothing SF types love more than people who lie about being SF.
If there are 750 K Puerto Ricanâs newly arrived in Florida I sure as hell donât see them. In a state the re-elected Rick Scott, all the odds go to the GOP. The current Democratic slate is a bunch of âwho?â's and that ainât too great.
