Threaten anything you want, asshole. You’ll lose.

Bigly.

The best offence is a good defense.

Or something.

There seems too be a lot of how come they waited defense going on by Trump and the Trumpsters. My sense is they the kept silent out of embarrassment and probably advice from editors, bosses and some friends to just let it go. Now though Trump’s behavior is out in the open the log jam has been broken.

Or their courage is strengthened by the fact that everyone else is coming forward.

It’s not easy to be the first (or even among the first) to assert something like this against not just a powerful asshole with a lot of lawyers, but one with a reputation for being a nasty, vile little toad that will defame and slander endlessly (often at 3AM).

Legally, does the fact that this story answers public claims which they are refuting protect the NY Times?
Actually that isn’t even accurate. The NY Times is corroborating claims made on tape by Trump. That’s got to be a tough defense to crack!

Repeated accusations of email coverup =OK

I wonder when Ivanka is going to finally be brave enough to talk about Daddy’s creepy visits?

How many more women have to come forward for people to not see a pattern of behavior. This is going to get so much more ugly than it has been.

I believe there was incest and I believe she enjoyed it.

Gee Donald, why did you wait 20 years to accuse Bill Clinton of rape? It must have been politically motivated.

I think the folks at the NYT are probably salivating over the information that could be gleaned from the discovery phase of a lawsuit.

Trumpian Response: “Buh…buh…buh…buh…BUT CLINTONNNNNNN…”

Yeah I don’t get how his complaining about what he did 16 years ago isn’t fair game since he is running for president and yet Bill Clinton’s sexual conduct over a span of 30 years is and BC isn’t running for President.

Love this headline… and it’s not the only headline these days using “meltdown”.

isn’t it about time a judge declared Cheeto Donnie a vexatious litigant and stop his lawsuit crap?

Trump is amazing for the ability to be offensive and defensive at the same time.

I believe the threat to sue before the article was published was in the first Times story. Basically, it said HO went ballistic on the phone. No need to credit CNN.

Anyway, I suspect HO’s lawyer has an associate in the Caribbean right now, picking out some lovely beachfront property that he’ll be more than able to afford with the fees he’ll collect from HO if the suit proceeds.

Unless of course HO doesn’t stiff him too

Geez. The New York Times may have to retain a competent libel lawyer to fend off this one. LOL

While we wait for the Gray Lady and Lard Lad to engage in an epic, WWE*-worthy legal battle, let’s take a look back on just one of HO’s successful lawsuits. Oh wait, this one was withdrawn for some unknown reason.

*The World Wrestling Federation lost a lawsuit brought against it by the World Wildlife Fund for Nature over the use of WWF and subsequently had to change its name to World Wrestling Entertainment.

I love this just for the line “He’s like Lenny from Grapes of Wrath got 3 billion dollars”.
