Discussion: Trump: This Memo Totally Vindicates ‘Trump’ In Probe

Totally vindicates him. The logic was perfectly geometric.

The thing is three and a half pages long. You didn’t expect him to read the whole thing, did you? He did read like two pages of the Bible during the campaign and never got over it.

Trump’s tweet this morning, after the Nunes memo fell flat, supports the argument below.

I now actually think there is a very strong probability that this memo was initiated and its release orchestrated by the White House, just as was the first attempt by Nunes to undercut the investigation. I anticipate that solid evidence may be found to support this possibility and I can see such findings igniting a crowning backfire that helps burn up Trump and his ilk. To wit, it will strengthen the legal case for obstruction against Trump and others, provoke public outcry, and then support impeachment.

Of course, we still await the next actions of Trump. It seems to me his hand for firing Rosenstein and deflecting Mueller has been seriously weakened by the release of the flimsy memo. If he does so now, I doubt he will survive the outcry.

My main hope today is that the responsible media not fall into the trap of giving the Republicans more air time on their memo now. Repetition will simply feed their meme and help make the false seem true by permitting them to use what they have learned from Joseph Goebbles, their primary intellectual inspiration. Evil acts deserve harsh condemnation.

Purge is a word that
suggests Russians even more
in control than we thought

We had better rise up against Trump Forever while we still can

Desperate times call for desperate measures, and Trump is increasingly desperate to create a false narrative which he feels will provide him justification to terminate all areas of the Russian scandal investigation and have everyone associated with the Mueller probe be summarily fired.

Trump is increasingly skating alone out there on the thin ice. I don’t see any rush among congressional Republicans to join him.

Trump’s MO is to drag people with him. He forces people to make a conscious choice to either go deeper in, or repudiate him, to be met by concentrated withering attack.
It would be logical for him to fire Rosenstein early next week, if he holds to his pattern. Plenty of Republicans will support him if he does.

That Memo could not vindicate a ham sandwich. Trump either has not read the memo or he is really an idiot.

Trump keeps blatantly obstructing justice in a desperate, pathetic attempt to not be convicted of obstructing justice.

Works for me. Let the evidence pile up.

But Nunes has arguably strengthened the case against Trump and weakened his support by demonstrating how phony and farfetched their conspiracy theories have gotten. There are reasons why GOP chairmen are retiring and falling over themselves as they head for the exits early in hope of cashing in their tax reform chips on K Street.

Sometimes I worry that while we have obvious Obstruction, we don’t yet have conclusive evidence of an underlying crime, keeping in mind we don’t know everything Mueller knows. But with the sheer magnitude of the Obstruction from Trump and so many others thought to be sober, level-headed people previously, there has to be something underlying all this. Something monumental.

I know Josh thinks it’s possible Trump is obstructing, not necessarily from conspiracy or from a crime, but out of ego and narcissism, however, I find it harder and harder to believe that at this point.

Sadly, Queeg’s dawning self-awareness – the dramatic highlight of the clip – is also what sets it apart from what we’re seeing now. Trump is all strawberries all the time.

Trump and the Republicans now have a memo with words on it. Trump’s conclusion:vindicates Trump. Witch Hunt continues. American disgrace.

Trump will use this to fire Rosenstein and shut down Mueller. Republicans will do nothing. It will take a huge public uprising to do anything at all to get the truth out. Hopefully Mueller has some sealed indictments he can release on a moment’s heads up about what might be coming.

This memo totally vindicates “Trump” in probe. But the Russian Witch Hunt goes on and on. Their was no Collusion and there was no Obstruction (the word now used because, after one year of looking endlessly and finding NOTHING, collusion is dead). This is an American disgrace!

Theirs no “their” their!
