He should be the last person to comment about anybody’s shape. Has he looked at himself in the mirror lately? I have known men like this, who look at women as a commodity to rated. Ugh!

Yup, that is the context and there was no need to comment on Mrs. Macron’s appearance -none! It was not a complement. He very likely gave her the up and down body size-up as well. Not to sound like a broken record, but I will. Trump is a,sexist, ageist, senile lecherous old man and he has the nuclear codes.
The President of the United States made a public comment on the appearance of the first lady of France. I cannot begin to describe my disgust.

Perhaps because I’m a female about the same size as Mrs. Macron, I see something both touching and disturbing in that little video clip: Mrs. Macron steps slightly backward and closer to Mrs. Trump, touching her slightly as she does so. It’s sort of an instinctive action signaling to the other woman that you are uncomfortable and will she please not let him near you.
Nobody plans that action, it’s just a reaction to having another woman’s husband giving you the once-over in front of everyone – you let her know you are NOT a party to it at the same time you ask discreetly that she get control of him without embarrassing her further than he already has. Melania must do pretty much nothing else when she’s out anywhere with him.
