Discussion: Trump Tells Conservative Christian Audience: Times 'Are Changing Back'

Apparently, frustratingly, it is.

So much blood has been shed by the Church because of an omission from the Gospel: “Ye shall be indifferent as to what your neighbor’s religion is.” Not merely tolerant of it, but indifferent to it. Divinity is claimed for many religions; but no religion is great enough or divine enough to add that new law to its code.

This is why millions of people have walked out of churches and they will never go back!

This might have been a factor too. These things were uncomfortable when stopped.

I avoid referencing the holiday season completely. I just treat every day in the “holiday season” like any other day. Have a nice day, is good enough for any time of year, and I avoid stupid lectures from insecure jerks.

This admitted sexual predator doesn’t even go to church (unless for a photo op) and doesn’t believe in any religion but himself… Christians in America really have a serious problem with truth and honesty… and really really need to learn what Jesus actually preached instead of the “crap” that they are following…

President Mammon. He wouldn’t recognize the Sermon on the Mount, even in comic book form…and neither would that slack jawed crew of inbreds, hustlers, prosperity gospel grifters, overfed and over coiffed consultants and pols.

He added separately: “In America, we don’t worship government, we worship God.”

The second half of Trump’s speech strayed into a laundry list of more general accomplishments, which were met with polite applause that grew louder at times: Promising tax and regulatory cuts, celebrating the trillions of dollars in stock market value “we’ve created,” and predicting “great health care in our county.”

However anyone wants to handle the holidays is fine by me. Of all the things that could be a source of worry, Christmas isn’t one I choose to worry about. It’s enough work now without making it worse.

I agree completely.

Ironic as fuck but the two things this country was actually founded on are the things that are destroying it: extreme Christianity and slavery.

I will thoroughly enjoy tying donald and the “Conservative Christians” (read hate groups) firmly together. He and they will all be shocked and dismayed that their claims of superiority over other people will backfire on them - not only will little donnie be out of office, religion will fall further into disfavor…
