Discussion: Trump Supporters Heckle Elected GOPers: ‘You Turned Your Back On Us!’

The Trump brand has been indelibly etched onto the The Republican GOP… Dont expect the grand poobahs to disavow him till the voting is over…even then it will be with a wink and a nod…

I don’t think I’ve ever heard a protester literally scream the word “Boo” before. I’m enjoying this devastation way too much.

At least it’s calorie-free!

I’ve got that Oklahoma feeling.

oh what a wonderful morning
oh what a beautiful day
I hear a rumbling music of
taco trucks coming our way

Well, that’s what can happen when a political party counts on the stupid, hateful ignorant.
At the end of the day, they’re still just stupid, hateful and ignorant.

Also want to add: THIS is the reason why I’ve been saying that 2016 was the GOP’s last chance at the WH. After this, the country gets browner, younger, slightly more liberal/educated and, perhaps most importantly, more urban. After this election, neither the US version of UKIP nor the GOP establishment have enough supporters to go anywhere nationally. Despite how much the GOP estab. thinks that Pence coulda been “the One.”

Tell me again how offensive Hillary was calling half (being kind) of Thru,p supporters deplorable.
[/quote]It isn’t anywhere close to half. It’s more like 10-20%, which would mean 5-10% of the populace (assuming the rates are akin for non-voters). But otherwise, she was being kind, but she picked the wrong word. There’s a simpler word: losers. It’s the one that pisses them off the most.

Ah yes, it was all so innocent then! Those elegantly phrased dog-whistles! The camaraderie and sly smiles as they joined together to block aid to children, seniors and vets! They merely committed sexual deviance, not broadcast it! They were kings of the world!

Sigh Never again, Paul.

Anyone with any sense would have anticipated this and cancelled the rally, but not the Golden Boy.

I look forward to “Republicans in disarray” headlines, along with “Paul Ryan booed off stage”.

At this rate, tomorrow’s debate feels almost anticlimactic…I mean, I already had my cigarette.

Red on Red violence …look forward to name calling … drunken fist fights at the Moose Lodge … endless profanity laced racist arguments over who betrayed who and who stole opportunity to gain control and to put those uppity XXXX’s in their place

No I am going to stick with half of his supporters if not more.

Ironically, if they hadn’t been so stupid and chickenshit to endorse Trump, they wouldn’t look so stupid and chickenshit now.

misha: "To see the chickens come home to roost for the Republican Party is sweet. I am hooked on TPM and Redstate (they hate Trump more than we do)"

I never would have thought I would find myself on Redstate, but I had to look after your comment. Wow, they do hate the Cheeto Jesus! Lots of talk there about how the Trump can be replaced.

It is incredible, I visit them whenever I need to validate what we are seeing and saying here on TPM. To be fair, they hate Hillary just as much but that’s expected.

Chuck Todd just stated on NBC News that every high level Republican he has talked to today has said the race is officially over now, and their only concern is saving the party.

Fucking WOW.

I hope the trumpies are mad as hell and refuse to go vote. That will show 'em.
And, dear GOP, this time, maybe have the official autopsy crowd sourced so you can get it right.

That’s the problem of being a coward, you can’t see further away than your nearest fears. Ryan was afraid of the Trump supporters in his constituency so he reluctantly jump on board, even though he disappointed the Trump haters in his district , he now see that the real horrors were in the Trump train, and tries to get off. Now he has the worst of both worlds:the Trump haters have not forgiven him, actually they are madder than ever, (“How could you ever supported that guy?”), but now the Deplorables are angry at him as well for being a traitor and a coward.

Although his district is pretty safe, if for any reason he looses because Republican voters stayed home I would not be surprised at all.

Could happen to a nicer SOB.

It was a dark-- and stormy night…
Yet the crowd in Elkhorn wasn’t ready to move on,
lashing out at the House speaker
for leaving their candidate swinging in the wind
so close to Election Day.

There’s a novel in this thing, I’m sure of it.
