Donnie’s stump speech remarks often depend upon which of the voices in his head he happens to be listening to at that time.
Donald Trump is the man who keeps a Sybil tongue in his mouth at all times( sometimes more than one).
The medication kicked in?
I was thinking manic depressive when I saw the article title.
Yeah, but they can’t keep firing those Thorazine hippo darts into his ass before every speech. Makes the Secret Service cranky. Crankier, anyway.
Just think
It was only yesterday that some people feared The Pivot.
Too late, now…
YIPPEE!
Is he somehow under the impression that Americans don’t remember the things he says a day or so earlier? Does he not remember?
He gives a speech calling for unity, after a mini-Nuremberg rally in Phoenix literally just hours earlier. He gives a scripted TelePrompter speech calling out the Klan by name, just a day or so after blaming both sides for the violence in Charlottesville. Then returns to blaming both sides a day later, and somehow thinks we will forget it?
He shows signs of dementia (his racist father developed Alzheimer’s, by the way) but this is bringing it to new levels.
Is there anyone here with enough understanding of the kind of meds he might be taking to try and figure out if he’s cyclical in his mood swings?
chuckles Josh is going with my cycle theory of Trump’s behavior on Twitter with this one.
I fully approve
I am not able to speak to any medication, but I have noted for a long time there is a definite cycle to his mood…a massive, angry manic phase, followed by a subdued, depressed state…often marked with lots of “woe is me” followed by a couple of weeks of “normal” Trump. And as external events increase the pressure upon him, this cycle seems to get compressed, so weeks turn into days.
Whether its from a bipolar disorder, or some other disorder, or due to medication I cannot say. But I started observing and noting this pattern way back in the campaign (all of last year…it just seems like a decade ago). Its a very real thing.
This man is not mentally ill or suffering from dementia, he’s just a bad person. My mother witnessed him five decades ago weaseling out of paying a Black man wages due for completed work.
He’s in his refractory period.
Of course.
By that time the 'Ludes had taken effect and the Coke had worn off.
Just the publishing cycle, if I had to guess. Dewey Defeats Truman. You make up a story based on what you expect will happen because it takes a certain number of hours to get the s.o.b. printed, on the trucks, delivered etc. It’s one reason daily papers are going the way of the buggy whip.
I don’t think any of those things preclude any of the others. There’s pretty much a consensus among anyone who’s ventured an informed opinion that he demonstrates the classic signs of severe narcissistic personality disorder. He’s also had his speech patterns analyzed and they were more complex years ago. That’s more equivocal but it’s not a good thing. He does have a long track record of being awful. But that doesn’t rule out the other things.
“Trump Subdued: President Avoids Fiery Rhetoric Hours After Off-The-Rails Rally”
Just because Trump plays the role of an abusive spouse, it does not necessarily follow that the media has to play the role of the abused spouse.
Makes sense.
I don’t know what the medical diagnosis would be (I’m sure he has not been examined by a psychiatrist) but it’s absolutely clear he’s delusional. And a pathological liar, with emphasis on pathology. It seems to me his only reality is his ego, and his only means of validating it is through attacks on others that he “wins.” It doesn’t even matter that the disputes are his own fantasies – the lying media that is “disloyal” to Murrica. What matters is his “so much winning” fantasy.
What’s incredible is the extent to which he is willing to fight his own party. He’s like a mad frenzied bull charging any flag he thinks is red.
The 25th Amendment needs to be invoked. Maybe he’ll piss off the GOP mavens enough that it will happen.
In any event, I hope he continues to tear the GOP apart. Karma’s a bitch, isn’t it Mitch?
