If you ask a Trump supporter about Trump’s accomplishments as President, you get a laundry list of things he says he’s done, but that haven’t actually happened, nor are likely to happen. They think he’s gotten North Korea to disarm, that he’s fixed all of those “unfair” trade deals we were in, that he’s brought good manufacturing jobs back to the U.S., that coal is a rebounding industry, that he’s solved the imaginary “crisis” of dangerous immigrants pouring across our borders, etc., etc., ad nauseam. The level of delusion is astonishing, and very resistant to rational discussion.
Yep, and that’s because his voters will never know one way or another. They mostly live in rural communities where they come into contact with few immigrants. They wouldn’t know if two dozen or ten million immigrants got deported because it literally has zero effect on their lives.
Donald Trump
Unlike Hillary Clinton, who has risked so many lives with her careless handling of sensitive information, my Administration will not telegraph exact military plans to the enemy. I have often said that General MacArthur and General Patton would be in a state of shock if they were alive today to see the way President Obama and Hillary Clinton try to recklessly announce their every move before it happens – like they did in Iraq – so that the enemy can prepare and adapt.
There are a lot of immigrants in rural communities (at least some of them). Farmer workers (some seasonal), dairy workers etc. But they’re the “good immigrants”. And the people in those communities will be shocked when they’re deported, because trump promised to hurt the Bad People.
With one major exception - some farmers. Ask the growers of various kinds of produce about the crops they’ve had to let rot in the fields because they couldn’t find anyone to harvest them.
At least the farmers will be protected from anything that, you know, disrupts their markets. You don’t need farm workers if you can’t sell what you grow.
“The bride at every wedding, the corpse at every funeral”
In fiscal year 2019 593,000 migrants have crossed the southern border through May.
In order to keep up with that influx the border authorities and law enforcement would have had to capture, detain, question, document, process and finally deport 102 people per hour, every hour of every day, around the clock, 24/7.
Show your work, Donnie.
I watched the Chris Matthews Townhall in Ohio last night. The Trump supporters were grating in their talking points and vague on details. Crowd response was encouraging though, definitely not Trump supporters in any major way.
However, as a disclaimer, I did not like Matthew’s handling of the event. He made it feel more like a push poll at times which I felt was wrong. He would interrupt, lead the opinions and inject his own comments when letting someone comment.
Man, that reminds me of a segment I saw on MSNBC yesterday. They were interviewing voters in PP country because the MSM seems to think they’re the only people who vote, and one idiot said he loved PP because his 401K was looking really good and because “he really makes a lot people mad” or something equally as gravely immature. Thankfully, the MSNBC host pointed out that his 401K wasn’t doing so well lately, but the exchange revealed yet again that the entirety of the PP phenom is pretty much a hate cult.
All they have to do is hire good American citizens to do the work. Shouldn’t take more than about $30 an hour, plus benefits, to entice some non-illegals to take the jobs. Until about day three, when they realize how tough the work is. Then they unionize, and demand $40 an hour and catered meals. ![]()

For 40% of the nation the height of their day would be to have dinner followed by a nightcap of sucker punching a dirty fucking hippie.
Another day, another basket full of lies.
“He would interrupt, lead the opinions and inject his own comments when letting someone comment.”
Chris Matthews? Naw!
If ICE deported every alien person without papers it would very likely severely damage the economy. We’re talking 11+ million people.
Trump is certifiably nuts.
Doesn’t mean they won’t try to do it (see travel ban).
And people dismissed talk of a deportation force before the 2016 election. Now we get to see it in action, even if it’s chaotic and incompetently run.
Monday night big announcement. Tuesday night rally. Wednesday morning more headlines. Next Monday, we’re on to the next crazy claim and we don’t hear any more about this. Betcha twenty bucks.
You know, I seriously expect that this will become one of his big campaign points. It’s the next extension of the witch hunt meme.
