Discussion: Trump Stages Another Fiscal Battle With New Budget Seeking Billions For Wall

I trust that Democratic staffers are poring over every single word of this thing, since I guarantee the wall funding is intended to deflect attention from something else that’s in there.

“…there’s no reason to obsess about deficits…”

This time Democrats not only need to stay strong on the wall, but to insist on budget legislation language explicitly forbidding Trump from stealing any appropriated money for his stupid wall.

If, as is likely, there are any cuts to SS or Medicare, Dems need to SCREAM it. I don’t know why they are not being much more forceful in declaring themselves the party that will save these programs.

…unless a Democrat is in office.

Vought said the administration has “prioritized reining in reckless Washington spending” and shows “we can return to fiscal sanity.”

The National Debt is now registering $22B and it isn’t due to the expansion of the safety net. Yes, irony is truly dead.

Like many undisciplined infants, Donnie does not understand the word “NO.”

It is a good thing that the Budget needs to start in The House.

Today name calling, stomping your feet, pouting, demanding the same thing over and over again is called being strong.

This will put pressure on the Senate GOP to negotiate with Dems: GOP support for nullifying the emergency declaration in exchange for Dem support of “wall” funding in the next budget.

The problem with a CEO being president is he still thinks he has the final decision on everything even if folks have told him it’s a shitty idea.

Edit: And he’s really used to people telling him his ideas are shit and doing them anyway!

No wall funding. None. Now or ever.

An administration official said Trump’s budget proposes increasing defense spending to $750 billion — and standing up the new Space Force as a military branch — while reducing nondefense accounts by 5 percent, with cuts recommended to safety-net programs used by many Americans.

Forevermore!

Vought said the administration has “prioritized reining in reckless Washington spending” and shows “we can return to fiscal sanity.”

The way to return to fiscal sanity is to reign in reckless Republican tax cuts for the rich and corporations, and their reckless spending on unnecessary, ineffective projects like the pet wall.

Titled “A Budget for a Better America: Promises Kept. Taxpayers First,”

So taxpayers will be asked to foot the bill for a wall of questionable value that Mexico is paying for? Who’s zoomin’ who? Better they should point out which promises are being kept…that will be a very short recitation.

Some Americans use the safety net. A whole one billion dollars to help children’s health care.

There’s lots of questions to cudgel gopper’s with relentlessly in that turd.

Let me understand this: Trump is already borrowing about 6 billion from the military via his Emergency- plus the approximately 1.3 billion Democrats handed him this year plus the other approx 1.3 he didn’t spend in a prior budget = about $8 Billion. Now he wants Democrats to budget another $8 bil?
We know Trump isn’t behind this; he has no ability to come up with such-a-scheme. So. Just. Who is running this pony show? Bolton, Miller, Bannon…
