Almost certainly the tack they will take. And there is something to it – a sort of tag-team diplomacy where Rex Tillerson says “this is guy is really crazy, I am worried he is going to kill us all” and Donald Trump in all seriousness pushes for a first strike. I would guess that if they try this approach in five different situations, it works maybe three times and results in two nuclear wars? Lindsey Graham: “Them’s bettin’ odds!”
Maybe Kim Jong-Un has figured out that Trump is easily played.

Reporters weren’t the only ones caught off guard by President Trump’s
appearance in the briefing room Thursday evening — White House officials were
too.
The President was on his way to the East Wing to take photos with high
school students when he made the decision to pop in to the briefing room and
tell the press that the South Koreans would make “a major
announcement” regarding North Korea soon.
“This was not planned,” an administration official said.
“It was all him.”

Apparently Kim Jong Un wants to meet with trump and has invited him to N. Korea. Their offer is that hey will cease missile tests if we assure Kim’s regime continued survival. Or something along those lines. That Kim wants to talk is a very good idea at first blush. Far better than shooting at each other.
But again the staff was caught without being informed any of this was going on. I guess two scoops really is the only necessary one. But two scoops ignores experts yet again and this will certainly have unintended consequences that will be Obama’s fault.
They can keep him if they want, they can have Melania and Javanka too.
There’s not nearly enough money in N. Korea to keep that crowd happy.

If trump did go to N. Korea I bet he will make a blundering fool of himself. Just like that episode with the photo op in Europe when he shoved the PM of Montenegro to gain access to the middle of the group and then proceeded to preen and strut like a peacock.

But I have never thought there were many degrees of separation between Trump, Russia and N, Korea.

Trump is in a fix. No deal is a big enough win here, no matter what he gets, he’ll want more.
