It appears the subtlety of the comedian’s sarcasm flew over the heads of the recipient’s to whom they were directed. Or maybe they were not so silly and decided to take the sarcasm lierally to turn the table and make it seem it was an attack on the recipient physical appearance? Even the ones who should have understood it, failed to understand the sarcasm.
Obviously Trump and Spicer complaining shows they missed the point purpose;ly.

Where is the “Both Sides do it” media when you need them? Trump spends his entire day, demeaning, belittling and insulting everyone and everything, but let someone return that favor and bring on the fainting couch. Fuck 'em if they can’t take a joke.

There’s no winning this argument with GOP types. The focus should be on the MSM hacks—Haberman, Mitchell etc—who are misrepresenting the speech and bolstering the Republican notion that the white right enjoys a special immunity from criticism.

I doubt that. Kathy’s was very visual and involved trumps head being decapitated. Wolf told a joke that people are saying makes fun of Sanders’ looks but is ambiguous enough to be argued one way or the other. Kathy’s wasn’t. Wolf’s jokes were also in a joke setting that most people consider a roast. It was in bounds with what the dinner was set up for.
I suspect her career will not end and that she has garnered interest from a lot of people that did not know who she was prior to this event. I don’t think her career will end over something like this.
