Apparently, the Sinclair stations were given a piece to run before the 2016 election that was all about the Democratic Party’s involvement with the KKK and Jim Crow. I’m sure the voters found that very useful, up -to-date information.
If you have a local Sinclair station with it’s news anchors being forced to read the script write to them, they beg you to in the script, and tell them what I did, “This is how democracy dies”.
Also ask them if they have read “1984” recently.
I can remember President Obama plugging MSNBC. Oh wait… I don’t. At point is this a violation of law with him favoring one business entity over others?
He is very defensive about Sinclair getting exposed. But there’s more to uncover here. Boris Ephsteyn is a Russian spy who provides weekly pro-Trump editorials on Sinclair stations that slavishly defend Trump and use his lexicon of L Ron Hubbard style paranoid terminology (fake news, deep state etc.). The co-option by Sinclair of Russian promoted themes (with possible connections to RT and Sputnik) is something that needs further investigation.
Every day contains impeachable offenses. I feel like Trump is winning the war, while we are crowing over the battles he loses.
Things can definitely turn around, and I hope they do; however, objectively, what I see is a string of Trump victories.
He has changed the landscape so much, so fast, already.
I am optimistic. We will overcome and he is going to be a pimple on the presidency.

Soon he’ll be calling the National Enquirer, “The real Newspaper of Record.”
[/quote]Or as it could affectionately be referred to: “The Grey Bitch.”
I don’t see him winning. I think the Bush Administration was far more effective at propaganda than this administration. They were also a far more effective administration at executing policy changes and pushing the legislative process. Had the Iraq War been successful and the economy not fallen apart, Bush would’ve advanced the neo-fascist state concept significantly.
What I see happening is that Trump is unwittingly exposing the racism and exploitation of the poor and working classes that drives GOP strategy and more are becoming awakened to it. It’s up to us to vote, but I’ve never seen the Democratic Party this fundamentally sound at the grassroots level since perhaps 1991-92 when we were really hungry for a win. In 1991-92, the focus was on cleaning up the mess made by Reagan-Bush economic policies with a dose of generational change led by the baby boomers.
Here, our focus is much grander and more fundamental to the Republic itself. We’re looking to save our Republic from desperate, corrupt neo-fascists who want to turn the clock back and are willing to sell out the country to foreign adversaries to do it. We want the government to embrace our demographic diversity and harness the power of a new potential governing coalition to solve long-standing problems of voting rights & fair representation, health care, climate change, racial and gender discrimination, ending gun violence, criminal justice reform, education, corporate consolidation, and the corruption of big money.
This generation’s awakening is a much bigger deal than the post-Cold War generation’s awakening.
It’s like with every tweet he becomes more of a caricature of a corrupt politician. It would be funny if it weren’t so serious.
This tweet expresses my viewpoint quite well. Sargent writes much more on his feed.
With this morning’s tweets by Spanky about DACA, caravans of drug dealing criminals, and the superiority of Sinclair Broadcasting, we keep inching closer and closer to Germany 1933. I am dreading our Reichstag fire.
Nice. I needed that this morning.
I stole it from someone on TPM
Someone is keeping a very sad, but necessary, list:

Lawrence O’Donnell had the book and the author on his show last week
I wonder why POTUS can pee by himself. What a moron.
I just sent this to our local station: As a Sinclair TV station, I see you’ve now joined the propaganda machine called the Republican party and Donald Trump. This “fake news” meme is a 1984 concept brought to life to divide America. That totally taints your brand and makes any of your news untrustworthy. I refuse to watch national Fox News (the Pravda of America) and now will have to take the same stand against your station.
What’s funny is it’s a CBS affiliate, so I can watch 60 Minutes and the Colbert show every day, just can’t trust their local news anymore.
I love the contents of tour email. Thank you for sending it.
