Discussion for article #247302

They are mostly Bernie fans but so what. They have first amendment rights too.

It´s not true that all the protesters are Bernie fans.

But enough of them are that Bernie and his supporters should be proud.

Check out the chant at @ :25 here:

Maybe the protesters are working for Trump. You know, sent in to stir up trouble and arouse his supporters’ emotions even more. Wouldn’t be the first time a fanatic demagogue has done that.

No. Last night there was a concerted effort by various organizations to have a mass protest against Trump @ UIC. I knew people there, and they were definitely not Trump fans. They did not want Trump´s racism around the campus, and around Chicago. Their plan was to overwhelmingly infiltrate the arena so that no matter how many people they removed, they could shut him down. The plan worked, and it yuuge and beautiful.

By “Bernie’s crowd”, he means da Juice (not in any o.j. way).

Am Ende, Trump ist Drumpf = und die Drumpfs sind aus Rheinland-Pfalz.

Holy shit, the fingers in that picture. Even taking foreshortening into account… yeee.

They might as well be paid by him – they’re playing into his hands if they’re out there unlawfully attempting to prevent him from speaking. I’m a Sanders voter but this type of thing should be the province of the Right only.

This shows what happens when a bully is shown for what they are. They run and hide then the next day they blame everyone but themselves for starting something, and now people are looking at him differently.

I tend to agree because the way it is now being portrayed is that the protesters caused the problem

Yeah, so?!

True. The media will never confront those who spew hate and racism. They have all but ignored the racism behind Trump’s birth certificate quest.

They may be supporters of Senator Sanders and they may not be. But in my mind anyone who is genuinely protesting what Donald Trump really stands for is first of all exercising their constitutional rights and second of all are showing that they have a mind of their own and care about more than just themselves.

They most certainly did not. They didn´t unlawfully prevent him from speaking. The protesters were exercising their 1st Amendment rights at a public forum, and I say more power to them.

It’s unlikely it was a public forum. If he rented the hall, it’s his forum for the night. If we’re talking about outside, protest away.

More red-baiting to follow…

As I understood it, you could go up to the ticket office and get tickets. That´s where the person I talked to who was inside the hall got his ticket. It´s not like the protesters jumped a turnstile, or invaded the hall - they all had tickets.

Oh, and surprise, Trump has always blamed his female companions for their pregnancies…

Exactly like Trump to personalize this.

Maybe they just got tired of seeing Trump and his crowd manhandle opponents who showed up in small numbers and decided to respond with a larger group. If there is just one, they’d get sucker punched while Donald cheered on the assault. But if there’s 100, or 500, his goons would have to think twice before they swing, push and shove.

The real truth is they are tired of seeing this guy make totally racist appeals against President Obama, Muslims and Mexicans. Its called standing up to racism, and if Trump doesn’t like it, I suggest he stop acting like a racist. But then, he doesn’t want to piss off David Duke.
