“Only days earlier Trump’s administration had said Assad’s ouster was no longer a U.S. priority” This slaughter of innocent people rests partially with the Trump administration. Assad was no doubt emboldened by this. This administration has demonstrated again that they are rank amateurs when it comes to foreign policy.

It can also be laid squarely in the laps of House Rethugliklans who demanded a say and then failed to authorize a use of force against Assad following the very first chemical attack.
